Veronica CEO's Underworld Queen

Chapter 14

Chapter 14

Country R

Veronica just arrived at her maternal ancestral castle. Her mother, Celerina was a descendant of a

Country R Czar and the prestige of the family was maintained due to her mother's only and older

brother, Bien.

The butler of the castle was waiting outside to serve the just arrived young madame. "Good

afternoon young madame. How was your flight?"

Veronica smiled softly at the old butler who she had grown very closed to. "It was fine, Leo. Where

are my parents?"

"Glad to hear that young madame. Your parents, the madame and master along with the young

master Baelfire and young miss Baelfair were in the living area. Also-"

Butler Leo didn't get the chance to add that one of her persistent suitors was also with them as

Veronica was already at the castle's grand door.

Walking to the receiving area, Veronica heard a man's strict voice while nearing the living area of

the castle. "Fire, you make sure that you won't do that again. Understood?"

Long silence. "Fire?"

"Yes uncle Victor." Came the unusual meek voice of Fire. "Good."

Veronica frowned in complete anger. The mother fucker Victor has the guts to reprimand her own

son? Who does he think he is?! Yes, he was her Uncle Bien's right hand's son and has been consistent

and persistent with wooing her but she never ever gave him even the slightest chance of hope. Now

he's thinking that he has the right to reprimand her children just because her Uncle and parents were

nice to him?

"How brave of you." Veronica said with a cold voice as she piercely looked at the man. "Mom!!"

Exclaimed the twins right after seeing her. She looked at their terrified faces and and

her blood boiled to a hundred degrees that if her children were not around, she could have shot

the man in his brain, bullseye.

"Veronica, you finally arrived?! I didn't expect that you would come home early. You should have

called so I could have fetched you." Victor was smiling confidently. So what if she heard him

reprimanding her son? She's going to be his wife someday and her kids will also be his responsibility.

Better to teach them as early as possible to instill them discipline and respect.

"Who and what are you?" Veronica replied through gritted teeth.

"What are you talking about?" Victor grinned thinking that Veronica might be teasing him. Afterall, NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.

this will be the first time that she's doing this because everytime he would go at the castle and pay her

a visit to woo her, Veronica would oftentimes be preoccupied with her multiple training on martial arts

and shooting and he would just end up watching in the corner. After all, he believes that there's no

need for much effort other than just being beside her most of the time.

"You are nothing but the son of my uncle's subordinate. My family including my children are your

masters and you as a subordinate have no right to reprimand my children." Veronica coldly replied

despite the fury she was feeling inside. She really wanted to kill the man in front of her right now but

first, her children were with them and second, he was the son of his uncle's most trusted right hand and

this Victor also held a high position in her uncle's underground force.

Victor's face turned red with anger and humiliation but controlled himself from lashing at her. After

all, she's right but she's also wrong because his status will change once they get married.

"You must be tired from your flight. Go have a rest and I'll take care of the kids for the time being."

"Another mistake. Nueve!"

A well-built man suddenly came. "Yes young madame?"

Outside the Baelforce headquarter, her subordinates would automatically call her young madame

instead of her underground alias.

"Lead that man out. Now." Veronica commanded, while restraining her stormy emotion.

"Yes young madame." Nueve in a blink turned murderous as he looked at the pest hanging around

his Lady Cleopatra for a year now.

"This way Mr." Nueve urged the man strictly but didn't try to use force or even touch him. That will

be reserved for later if the pest retaliates so as not to put his Lady Cleopatra in an uncompromised

situation.

The atmosphere became tensed when Celerina's voice rung the living area. "What's going on?

Veronica, honey you're back?! Glad that Victor was on time to have met you here. Anyway how was

your flight?" Celerina gushed as she came forward to hug Veronica but the latter moved sideways.

"Honey?" Celerina looked hurt but hide it right away. She was confused by her daughter's sudden

aloofness.

"Mother, I don't want to say it for the second time. But I don't want my children to be around that

man." Veronica coldly replied and came forward to her terrified children and carried them on her both

arms.

"Honey? Veronica? What's wrong?!" Celerina ran after her.

Veronica halted. "That outsider who thinks he has the right to reprimand my children and terrified

them is everything that is wrong, mother. Now please do your grandchildren a favour and kick that man

out or else I wouldn't even consider that his family was a loyal subordinate to Uncle Bien." Veronica

continued to walk away leaving Celerina, Nueve and Victor trembled with her frozen voice. Celerina

recovered and rationalized her daughter's action and looked sternly at Victor.

Victor, who saw how disappointed Celerina looked at him, tried to give his side of the story. "Auntie

I ..."

"You better leave now." Celerina turned to her daughter's body guard. "Escort that man out."

Celerina coldly said and walked away. She was actually thinking that Victor was a good match for her

daughter because the young man came from another lineage of royalty of Country R. And he seemed

to be the one who's not bothered by the fact that her daughter already has children and has been

persistent. But it seems that her judgement was wrong. Thinking back of how furious her daughter was

despite her calm appearance made her feel guilty and determined to ask her more about it.
