Passion 81
Gossip? Every woman in Tirion would've loved to be the object of gossip with Xavier.
Xavier thought about how she had been with Claude during the four to five years of her disappearance. Feelings grew over time, and they were childhood friends.
"You're worried about Claude hearing rumors, aren't you?" His eyes were icy.
Yvette's expression darkened at once. She did not want to indulge his bad habits. "Mr. Lane, whether or not we're married, I have the freedom to choose where to live. Don't you think you're interfering too much?"
She no longer wanted to stay there, and she brushed quickly past him.
Xavier felt as if she had slapped him. It had only been a few words, but he felt very uncomfortable. What did she mean by saying that he was interfering too much?
He watched her figure retreat into the distance and suddenly felt as if she was getting further and further away from him. He did not like this feeling.
He took out his phone and called Mark. "No matter what you have to do, get the child back."
"Yes."
"Continue attacking Claude's properties. I want all his projects to faill
After he hung up, Xavier looked grim. All he could think about was how carefree Yvette had looked as she walked away.
She once said that she would love him forever! How could she just change without warning? Had she fallen for Claude? Whether or not she had, he was determined to get her back.
Even if he no longer wanted something, he would never let anyone else have it. Xavier sat in the car, smoking cigarette after cigarette. He took out the photo of the child.
If it was his, why was Yvette hiding him abroad? Once he brought the child back, he had to find out for sure. No matter what, he would make Yvette stay with him this time. He would never let her out of his sight again!
Night soon fell. Yvette stood on the balcony at Mansions Nine and called Kiki.
When Kiki found out that Xavier had brought Yvette back that day, she was shocked. "Is he turning over a new leaf?"
Yvette shook her head. "I have no idea what got into him."
Xavier had seemed particularly agitated as if he had something to tell her.
"This was a rare chance. Why did you refuse?"
"The moment I get near Dewberry, I think of the past. I am in no mood to seduce him at all." Yvette
paused. "Besides, if I live with him, what about Zac?"
Kiki understood. "You're right. You should live alone."
"Yep. How has Zat been?" Yvette asked.
At the mention of Zachary, their voices relaxed noticeably.
"My nephew Darren says that he's the leader of the kids. Even the kid who used to be top dog has been won over by Zach."
Kiki hadn't asked who the previous top dog had been, so she didn't know that it was the oldest grandson of the Lane family, Malcolm. "Tell Zac not to draw attention to himself," Yvette instructed.
She knew that it would not be wise to stick out too much. Zachary had always been too outstanding. which made it easy to find him.
Blood was a strange thing. Both Zachary and Noah were miniature versions of Xavier. If Xavier found out about their existence, Yvette did not dare to think about what he would do.
After she had reminded Kiki, she hung up and walked out of the room to the lawn. A breeze brought gusts of hot air with it, but Yvette did not feel warm.Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
Although she had mostly recovered, she was still very weak. That afternoon, she went to rest without eating much.
At that moment, in a prestigious kindergarten....
