Evelyn was still thinking about how to please him when Henry forcefully pulled her down, sealing her
lips.
A punishing kiss that instantly robbed her of all her breath.
Dizzy.
So dizzy….
All Evelyn could think about was when this would end; her mouth hurt so much.
Time passed second by second, and Evelyn didn’t know how long she had been plundered. Suddenly,
a tender and low voice echoed in her ears.
“Evelyn, say it again. Whom do you like?”© 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.
Feeling the man’s uneasiness, expectation, and even a trace of fear, Evelyn didn’t hesitate.

“You, I like you, love you, love Henry. From now on, Evelyn will only love Henry.”
The soft voice echoed in the empty room, hitting Henry’s heart.
He thought that even if Evelyn asked for his life, he could give it.
“Even if I die, it’s worth it.” He muttered.
“Don’t talk nonsense.” Evelyn covered his mouth, tears streaming down her face.

Having lived two lifetimes, the two of them snuggled together truly for the first time.
Unconsciously, as the sun set, dusk gradually enveloped them.
After the painkillers wore off, Henry didn’t feel so well.
For two days in a row, he frowned even in his dreams and didn’t have a proper meal.
David was so anxious that he brought back all the servants who used to work in the villa.
“Madam, there’s a man kneeling at the entrance of the villa. It’s freezing cold, and he doesn’t
even have a coat. He’s said he wants to apologize.”

“A man?” Evelyn’s face changed.
William?
Probably, the breach of contract penalty for that piece of land pushed him to the brink.
However, since he came to the villa, she obviously didn’t intend to let him off easily.
Evelyn smiled coldly. “If he likes kneeling, let him kneel.”
“Evelyn, no, dear Evelyn, my sister–in–law, I just said the wrong thing. Do you have to be so heartless,
making me kneel outside for so long? I’m freezing.” Alexander whined as he entered.
His hands and feet were frozen stiff.
“Master Alexander, have a cup of warm water.” Eleanor Barnes, the cook, hurried forward.
Eleanor knew that Alexander was Henry’s good brother.
Evelyn came out with a bowl of noodles and saw Alexander’s eyebrows still frosty. She
couldn’t help but sneer.
She had thought it was William. She never expected it to be Alexander.
“I’m freezing like this, and you’re still laughing.” Alexander smelled the delicious aroma and hurriedly
walked up to her.
“Is this for me?” Alexander picked it up and took a bite.
Ever since Alexander witnessed Evelyn piercing Watson’s palm, he felt she matched Henry quite well.
So, he had gotten used to calling her little sister–in–law.
In the previous life, Alexander had never treated Evelyn with such a good attitude, so hearing the term
“little sister–in–law” made her feel comforted.
With the noodles finished, she prepared another bowl.
“I’m still a living being, Mr. Wilson. Can you spare me this time?” Alexander slumped beside
Henry.
Henry, half–leaning on the bed, stared expressionlessly at a detective novel as if Alexander
were air.

When Evelyn entered, he finally turned his head.
“Where were you?”
“Making noodles for you. I had already prepared it, but he ate it,” Evelyn said, placing the small table in
front of Henry. “This is the second bowl. Want to taste it?”
Henry’s icy gaze lightly swept over Alexander.
Alexander looked aggrieved. “How was I supposed to know that was for you?”
“Sister–in–law, save me.” In order to survive, Alexander was willing to give up even his face.
Seeing his sincerity, Evelyn asked a question and learned that Henry had been suppressing
him these
nast two days.
The agreed–upon land suddenly increased in price, and when he discovered a talented game
developer, the person unexpectedly switched to another company.
Evelyn knew that Henry really disliked others interfering with his decisions.
She tentatively hooked his finger and softly said, “Then, let him off this time?”
Alexander, full of expectation, looked at Henry.
Henry didn’t spare a glance at Alexander. “Compensate.”
Alexander, hearing a glimmer of hope, praised Evelyn with a bunch of compliments.
Henry asked, “Compensate with what?”
