Phillip had just gotten out of the car and was pulled aside by Aydan before he even entered the door.
Aydan looked around before asking in a low voice.
"Phillip, you suddenly bought over the Bridges. Is it just because the two boys fought with their kid?"
When Aydan was handling it yesterday, he had heard that Ann and that little girl called Nikki were also
there. It was said that Ann even got beaten.
Phillip glanced at him coldly, but he didn't bother to explain. Phillip went away.
"Don't go. I have something important to tell you!" Aydan held Phillip back.
Phillip was a little impatient. He frowned slightly and coldly scolded, "Speak!"
Aydan coughed. "Well, you know, Grandpa and Melinda have already helped you choose a fiancée, the
apple of the eyes of the MIYA Group..."
Before he could finish, Phillip had already walked away with a gloomy face.
As soon as he entered the hall, a girl in a light pink dress ran over, with a crisp and sweet voice.
"Phillip, you are back!"
Phillip looked coldly at the blushing girl in front of him. The coldness on his handsome face deepened
as he turned to look at Aydan who had followed him.
Aydan felt a chill on his back. "I wanted to warn you just now. You came in before you heard me out..."
"Where's Grandpa?" Phillip asked with a frown.
"He's discussing something with Melinda upstairs." Aydan pointed upstairs.
Phillip did not say a word, got past Nadia, who was in front of him and walked upstairs.
Nadia looked at Phillip's cold back. She looked disappointed.
Nadia turned to Aydan. "Aydan, does Phillip hate me?"
"Don't think too much about it. Phillip had that poker face all the time. He just wants to talk to grandpa
about something." Aydan comforted Nadia with a smile on his face.
Yet Aydan knew that Phillip didn't hate Nadia because he didn't even care to remember who Nadia
was. How could he feel about her?
...
In the study on the second floor.
Phillip was about to knock on the door when it opened from the inside.
Melinda saw Phillip and did not seem surprised.
She closed the door and came out with a smile on his face.
"Phillip, have you met Nadia?"
Phillip lowered his eyes to look at her. It was hard to tell how he felt. He looked cold as usual.
"I told you before that I won't have a commercial marriage!"
Melinda nodded. "But Phillip, things are different now. You knew what happened to the Moore Group
when you weren't here. You should be aware of the one behind all this."
After a pause, Melinda lowered her voice and said, "Now that things have come to this, Hilda is most
likely hiding somewhere, planning to find an opportunity and join forces with Adam to deal with us.
"They are in the dark while Hilda also had the support of the Lind family. Your Grandpa hadn't decided
what to do yet. If you don't wanna give away what you earned with your life, you'll need some help. The
Ford family is the best choice!
Seeing Phillip's cold expression, Melinda frowned.
"Are you still thinking about Ann?"
There was a subtle change on Phillip's face.
"Phillip, you have to have a second thought. Choose wisely so that both your future and Ann won't get
involved."
Pain flashed into Phillip's eyes. It was just for an instant. Phillip's eyes soon turned cold.
He clenched his fists and said in a low and indifferent voice.
"I have plans."
Phillip turned around to leave, but Melinda spoke from behind.
"You will bring Nadia to the company's mid-year cocktail party."
Phillip paused yet didn't look back. He continued walking forward.
...
Ann kept working late for the past week, along with her teammates. They had finally straightened up
the procedure for blending perfumes.
They all came out with mixed smells.
As a result, when the group of them stood in the elevator, the people outside, who were originally
waiting for the elevator, smelled the smell and their faces instantly changed.
Even though there was still a large space in the elevator, even if they were in a hurry to send the
documents, those people still waved their hands indicating that they could wait for the next elevator.
The people in the elevator looked at each other and shrugged, indicating that they were used to it.
The group members were excitedly discussing what they were going to eat in the canteen at noon
when they saw Fred, who was dressed in a gray suit, walking leisurely towards them.
Fred stood in front of them as if he could not smell the nasty smells on them at all.
"Everyone has worked hard. I've already booked a room at Elizabeth Restaurant to reward everyone
with a treat."
People started to cheer up.
"Oh, is it a treat for us or Ann only?"
"Thanks to Ann! She has such a generous boyfriend!"
"Can't you tell that Mr. Fred wants to speak to Ann alone?"
...
The group of people clamored. Ann looked a little embarrassed, but she could not explain. She could
only look at Fred apologetically.
Fred looked at the group of people who had already left and stood in front of Ann.
The gentleman slightly bent his waist, one hand behind his back, and the other hand reaching out to
Ann, making an inviting gesture.
His eyes were slightly curved as he spoke in a half-joking tone.
"Miss Ann, may I have the honor to have lunch with you?"
Fred's half-joking tone easily resolved the awkwardness Ann felt earlier.
Ann was amused. Seeing the gazes of the surrounding people, she hurriedly coughed.
"Let's go. They are all waiting for us!" Ann said as she patted Fred's hand.
Fred chuckled as he straightened up and followed Ann.
Not far away, Phillip, followed by a group of higher-ups, came out of the elevator and just happened to
witness the scene.
