Chapter 682 She's Faking It
"I'm going to show her how ridiculous she is."
No one could stop the old Mrs. Lawson, she got into the car directly.
William also thought that their daughter went too far and followed her into the car.
Only Bella was left anxious. She wanted to go and check on Cathy too, but it seemed like the car was
not big enough to take her as well. She had no other way but to call Cathy's phone.
"Cathy, why aren't you answering your phone!"
However, no matter how many times she called, no one answered.
Even Bella wanted to help her, there was no way for her to get in touch with Cathy.
Left with no choice, she took a taxi and followed them to the KTV shortly after.
When they arrived at the KTV, the old Mrs. Lawson's face got increasingly unpleasant looking at the
decoration. Especially when she saw some young people hugging and kissing without any regard.
Even though this place was legalized, some careless or reckless people would still leave a bad
impression on others.
The old Mrs. Lawson, led by Sophia, arrived at Cathy's private room.
Cathy heard the sound and looked over. When she saw that it was the old Mrs. Lawson, she
immediately stood up and hugged her.
"Grandma, you finally come to find me! I thought you didn't want me anymore..." She sobbed.
Who could foresee that the old Mrs. Lawson simply pushed her away and said angrily, "Cathy, look at
yourself now. What kind of place is this? You actually spent the night here. Also, why are there so many
things in your room? They are not just for you, are they? Did you call other guys?"
Cathy looked at the things on the table. She was bored last night and did order some men to come
over. But how did Grandma know about this? Did Sophia tell her?
"Grandma, is it because Sophia told you so? Don't believe her..."
Before she could finish her sentence, William said angrily, "Sophia didn't even say anything about this.
Your grandma figured it out herself, there's so much food here. You couldn't even finish them on your
own. She noticed that by her own judgement!"
"Dad, I'm your daughter, why are you always taking Sophia's side?" Cathy said, dissatisfied.
"It's not about me taking her side. It's just the gap between you and Sophia are huge. Today Sophia
was supposed to come and pick you up, but what did you do to her? You... How come I raised you into
this?"
Cathy asked in confusion, "What did I do to her? It should be what she did to me! She..."
"How dare you to talk back!" The old Mrs. Lawson retorted, "I never expected that you would
degenerate so much after you returned from abroad. You can't even behave like a proper lady. You
even bullied your sister. Cathy, how did you become like this?"
Cathy looked puzzled and asked, "Grandma, what are you talking about? What horrible person I am
now?"
Sophia stepped forward timely and said, "Never mind, Grandma. Let's not talk about it. It doesn't matter
that I was wronged. What matters is that Cathy should go home now."
The old Mrs. Lawson pointed at Sophia and said to Cathy, "See that? Even though your sister has been
wronged so much, she's still thinking about you. Can you repay her kindness?"
Cathy was really confused and had no idea what had happened.
After a long while, it seemed something struck her. She asked, "Sophia, did you say something to
Grandma again?"
Sophia didn't say anything, but the old Mrs. Lawson interrupted, "What could she say? Even if she did
say something, she did it for your own good. what about you? Can you realize and appreciate that?"
Cathy was chocked.
The old Mrs. Lawson continued, "Go back with me now. If you continue to stay here, don't blame me for
being rude to you."
Cathy finally understood and sneered, "Grandma, since your heart belongs to Sophia completely now,
what use do I have for you? You don't care what I do. So I'll do whatever I want!"
As soon as she finished speaking, the old Mrs. Lawson took off her shoe and threw it at her.
"I raised you for nothing. Have you forgotten all the teachings I gave you over the years? I'll correct
your unfilial behavior myself!"
Sophia quickly stepped back, so that she wouldn't interfere with the old Mrs. Lawson's attempt to bash
Cathy.
Aria watched and laughed, "Sis, you're so amazing. Every time I think I've grown to be like you, you Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org
always surprise me with new tricks."
"I'm just giving her a taste of her own medicine. Cathy owes me, and she will pay for it eventually."
Aria kept giving her thumbs up.
William watched nervously and shouted, "Cathy, stop running. Your grandma is behind you, what if
something happens to her?"
Cathy got angry and said, "Dad, ever since I came back, I realized you're increasingly unlike my father,
but Sophia's father. Do you all hate me now? Fine, if you hate me so much, just beat me to death!"
William was furious, "What are you talking about?"
The old Mrs. Lawson agreed, "Since she said that herself, let's give her what she wants!"
Sophia also felt that it was not a good idea for things to go on like that. She shouted, "Cathy, are you
done causing trouble? Grandma is too old to handle your temper tantrums!"
"Bang!"
The old Mrs. Lawson fell to the ground.
"Grandma!" Sophia rushed over quickly.
William and Aria followed behind.
Cathy stood there, wanting to move but hesitating. Bella arrived just in time to witness the scene.
She wanted to call out to Cathy, but the latter sneered, "This is a trick that Grandma has played many
times. She's perfectly fine, she just likes to pretend."
Aria was irritated, "How dare you say that about your grandma? Why did she end up like this? It's all
because of you!"
"What do you mean by ending up like this? I'm telling you, she's perfectly fine. She's just faking it."
Cathy retorted.
William walked up to Cathy and slapped her in the face.
Cathy covered her face, looking at him in disbelief. "Dad, you hit me?"
Bella also approached Cathy, shielding her behind her and saying, "She's your daughter. How could
you hit her?"
"What do you mean how could I hit her? I must have been cursed to have such a daughter!" William
exclaimed.
Bella retorted angrily, "What she said was not wrong. Your mom loves to pretend and fake things. This
isn't the first or second time. Even I can't stand it anymore."
Meanwhile, Sophia had already called for an ambulance. "Yes, it's the KTV in the south of the city.
Please come quickly!"
Bella sneered, "You set the trap quite well, Sophia. You know perfectly well what your grandma is like,
don't you?"
