Chapter 1169 Meeting Addison, the Truth
Little Bunny waited for half an hour at Theodore's upscale residence. Laird sent someone to pick her
up and take her to the detention centre. In the car, Little Bunny was on pins and needles.
She received a call from Yuna when it was past 2 AM.
"Little Bunny, how is it going? How is the investigation?" Yuna asked, anxious.
"The results are not much different from the results given by the police now. But don't worry, I will go to
the detention centre to see Addison first and tell you about the situation after he comes out."
"Thank you so much."
Little Bunny didn't feel like talking to her too much at the moment so she hung up the phone and looked
out the window with a heavy heart. Fortunately, the speed of the car was quite fast and they arrived at
the detention centre soon. She went straight in. She walked into a separate cell and saw Addison, who
looked completely dejected, with a scruffy beard around his lips and no energy.
As he saw Little Bunny, he was also surprised. He didn't expect that she would come to see him so
late. And he couldn't face Little Bunny.
"Miss Little Bunny, we are waiting for you outside." The prison guard respectfully said.
"Okay, thank you."
The prison door closed shut.
Addison looked at her but remained silent. They were looking at each other like this.
Just as Little Bunny was about to speak, Addison suddenly stepped forward and scooped Little Bunny
into his arms. He held her tight. Little Bunny's heart skipped a beat. She didn't expect Addison to
suddenly hug her. She let Addison hold her for a long time like this. After a long silence, she finally
spoke up, "Addison, let go of me. I came here to talk to you about something."
Addison reluctantly let go. When he saw Little Bunny standing right in front of him, he couldn't resist
and broke down. There was no way to control himself. His eyes were becoming teary. Little Bunny
looked at his eyes and her own eyes turned red with tears as well.
She tried to remain calm and asked, "Are you okay here? Have you been abused?"
"No," Addison answered, "it's just a lot of mental pressure. The media reporting on my situation must
have gone crazy by now."
Addison was silent. He didn't want to lie to her. Even though his agent had told him to stick to the story
of being set up, he couldn't bring himself to deceive her.
"Addison?" Little Bunny called out again when he remained quiet.
"I'm sorry." Addison suddenly apologized.
With that apology, Little Bunny understood everything. She felt a mix of emotions she couldn't quite put
into words. She didn't want to believe that Addison could do something like this.
"It was my idea," Addison admitted. "That day, I was feeling down and my friends suggested drugs as a
way for me to forget about everything bothering me. I was depressed because of missing you and work
had been stopped by my agent due to my poor physical condition. So when they suggested it that
night, I agreed just so I could experience what it's like. If drugs can make you forget all your troubles
and even forget about you. But then everything went wrong." He continued with regret in his voice. "MyAll text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.
agent told me to stick with the story of being set up so we can protect my reputation but now I'm scared
because I don't know how things will end."
Little Bunny didn't know how she could comfort him or herself for that matter. After all, wasn't it her who
caused him harm?
"I can't go confessing now because if they find out about the lies before they catch whoever framed me
then things will only get worse for me," Addison said painfully.
Little Bunny watched him suffer and felt uneasy herself. His bright future would be ruined just because
he made one mistake in judgment.
"Don't worry about me anymore." He suddenly said nervously as if reading her thoughts. "I don't want
you getting involved in anything illegal either or even seeing Theodore on account of saving me."
Little Bunny didn't know how she should respond, feeling conflicted inside as she knew that it was
partly her fault that he resorted to using drugs but at the same time, she knew deep down inside that
what he did was still wrong regardless of what led him there.
"Little Bunny, it's getting late. You should go back now. When you leave, ask the prison guard to check
if there are any paparazzi around. I'm afraid you'll be caught on camera and become a news story."
Little Bunny nodded her head. She knew that staying here wouldn't solve anything.
"Addison, take care of yourself and don't falsely accuse yourself. As for whether or not you should
admit to the police that you lied, wait for my message."
"Little Bunny,"
"Don't worry, I won't implicate myself." She reassured him.
Addison nodded heavily in agreement as she left.
Sitting in the car on her way home, Little Bunny thought about many things. She couldn't bring herself
to request Laird to forcefully pull Addison out from inside, which was breaking the law. That was
something she had never even considered before in her life. But just thinking about how Addison might
suffer because of her, she felt guilty.
She thought about all this during the ride home until they finally arrived at her house. As soon as she
opened the door, a strong smell of alcohol hit her nose. Theodore was passed out drunk on the couch.
She knew he had gone drinking tonight but didn't expect him back so soon. She thought he wouldn't
come back tonight.
After walking over towards Theodore's side, she said softly, "Theodore, let me help you get back to
your room, okay?"
Theodore was barely conscious but managed to open his eyes. He saw her, the woman he loved so
much, who doubted him and snapped at him because of another man.
He suddenly got up and pinned down Little Bunny beneath himself. He now just wanted to have her,
instead of her heart. That should be enough for him since wining her heart was too difficult.
He didn't want to try anymore because he had hurt too much inside.
