Chapter 61
“Tell me what you want,” Rygan whispered into her ear, his hands trailing down her spine. His touch felt like a drug, making her diary. She wanted more of it; she wanted him to consume her whole.
She felt her claws sprout out, her canines sharpen, and a change in the air as her instincts heightened. She traced those claws on Rygan’s skin, her wolf greedy for more.
Elise felt like she was losing herself, losing the battle between her and her wolf again. She couldn’t let it take absolute control like it did before, not again
“Tell me,” Rygan’s voice echoed, her hands fisting in his broad shoulders, pulling him in as she began to murmur softly against his skin. She wanted so much for him to take her roughly on the ground, to make love to her until she was full and sated.
“I need…I need,” she whimpered. “I need to stop,” she whispered, finally gaining the courage to pull away from him. That dark tension shriveled up, and she finally felt calm in her system after that intense moment, her eyes, hands, and teeth returning to normal.
She could hardly breathe, he’s ours! Her wolf screamed, but all she wanted to do was get away from this temptation. She hated the dejected look on Rygan’s face the moment she pulled away.
Even now, she wondered why she was still fighting this, fighting what was happening between them, but she didn’t want to become the villain people thought her to be: she wasn’t a home wrecker no matter how badly she wanted someone, and they were over now, she had to remember that
But she wondered why her wolf was so needy for him; something was going on that she couldn’t explain, the impending heat that took over when she caught a deep scent of him. A feral, unexplainable want.
Her body felt lax as her knees wobbled before she hit the ground. “Breathe, Rygan’s voice echoed hoarsely. She looked at Rygan to see him swallow his desire for her back down. “That’s the aftereffect of fighting against instinet; you did well,” he praised her.
–
She knew what that meant that she had fought hard to be away from him. She knew what that meant but decided not to talk much about it.
She felt a cold splat of rain on her cheeks as she looked up to the sky to see the once bright half moon now covered in clouds “Take the things and get inside; I can smell the air change at a rapid speed,” he told Elise, who stood.
Taking her clothes and the bags that he had brought to the front porch of the cabin, she did not hear any footsteps behind her. She paused to look back and saw that Rygan wasn’t coming with her.
“What are you?” Before she could ask more, Rygan shifted into his glorious midnight beast, his eyes still distant as he sent a message to her mind.
I’ll be heading to hunt for our food.
“But you told me we had enough and-” Rygan didn’t let her finish as he raced into the mountain terrain, leaving her at the door. She didn’t know what kind of possessive thoughts had been running through Rygan’s mind to win her or how much Rygan was restraining himself as he raced into the woods.
Elise was confused. Cold and mildly freezing, she turned to the porch, pushed the door to the cabin wide, and entered the small yet warmly single–furnished room.
With a medium–sized bed at the end of another small room, beside that door was a warm oak breakfast table with two seats. by the opposite window and a small kitchen at the end.
With the door to the left, she must have noted it as the bathroom. She walked into the cabin, admiring the space. Trying to relax het mind with something other than Rygan, she could still feel his hands on her skin.
The single room reminded her a bit of the cabin they oner hid ad slept in after they’d escaped the wretched walls of the Dark Night pack and Kyren’s clutches. But this was more beautiful in every way.
She couldn’t help wondering how they’d both share one bed, but she didn’t think past it. She placed their things into the small closet, wearing a sweater she luckily snagged from her room, immediately reaching for the lanterns, taking a match. and lighting the fireplace up to warm the room.
The window rattled from the wind outside as a little rain began to drizzle. She smelled the atmosphere and predicted that tonight’s rain showers were the least of days to come.
She walked over to the fireplace, sitting down on the dark bear rug in front of the fire, its fur giving her the extra warmth she craved. She couldn’t help but look at the door and wonder when Rygan was coming back.
She recalled what happened a minute ago and how eager and shameless she was latching onto him, smelling and almost tasting like that. She was almost tempted to ask him to take her. “What the hell was that back there, Elise! Stop being so stupid,” she scolded herself.
It didn’t take long for fatigue from the day’s hike and sparring to take over, but Rygan had told her she’d feel tired from trying to shift. She wanted her wolf to cooperate. She did, but she became a preening fool when Rygan was near.
It wasn’t long until her eyelids felt heavy as she lay on the bear rug. She heard the sound of heavy feet finally coming to the front door, and Rygan was back
Elise didn’t make a sound as he entered quietly into the cabin. Heading to the bathroom, where he took a short shower, he calmed out, dripping and naked.
She tried holding still so her breath would calm her heart as she heard shuffled clothes. He’d worn pants before cleaning off his wet locks.
What she didn’t expect was to hear him come closer to her. He bent, picking her up from the rug in princess style and carried her to the bed in the other room
Gently placing her on it, she felt him hover over her body, and she wondered why he was watching her, but she didn’t open her eyes, she didn’t want him to think she was pretending so he’d carry her. Well, she was pretending right now, but that wasn’t the point.
“You’re testing me, little wolf,” he whispered, making her heart skip a beat.
She then felt a warm blanket over her, and before Rygan headed out of the room and back to the long sofa, he took his place on the couch. But as he left the door open to the room, she wondered if he remembered how scared she was from the lighting.
Elise slowly opened her eyes to watch the back of his head that she could see from the room. She wondered what he thought about what happened earlier, but she didn’t expect to hear Rygan’s breath harsher.
Her brows furrowed in confusion from under the blanket. She got a whiff of his scent that changed, and she wondered if she should ask him if he was alright. She peeked out of it and watched the lines of his forehead crease with sweat.
“El fuck,” he hummed
But she froze when she heard a breathy moan escape his lips; his breath quickened, and that’s when a blush rushed to Elise’s face when she realized that Rygan was pleasuring himself.
Elise gulped; she crossed her thighs against each other as her body warmed from his husky voice; blood rushed to her head from his throaty moan; and he groaned from pleasure as his hands moved on his cock, pumping his pleasure into Elise’s
He thought the rain would drown out his voice, and his beloved Elise was asleep. Elise gripped her blanket tighter as she heard his body writhe out in pleasure, calling out her name one last time before he climaxed,
Ropes of his cum spilled shamelessly from his cock as Rygan moaned out in ecstasy. Elise’s throat dried at the image of his cork and how his face contorted as he climused, moons Rygan was torturing her.
She froze until she heard his breath even out as he held her pillow, and Rygan fell asleep. Now she was left in bed, the whole cabin silent except for the rain, yet why did she feel so wer!
He was now sleeping peacefully while Elise could barely think; her mind was still on Rygan and how affected he was by her, and he came with just the thought of her. A blush crept around her body as she was left awake.
It took a long time before her eyelids felt heavy again, and she fell asleep, taking in his scent that put her whole body at ease.
And she wished the night could get longer than this.
She wakes up to the smell of bacon cooking, with Rygan settled comfortably over the stove.
She sits up with the blanket falling from her chest; she stands up, seeing how much her sweater had ridden up and how much her legs were showing, and wonders if that’s what made him turn on last night.
She recalls how he moaned her name and came from it; the thoughts brought back the blush on her face, especially since -Rygan didn’t know she was awake and heard everything.
*You up?” he channels to her mind.
Yeah, um, let me freshen up,” she sends down the bond, and she immediately panics, grabbing her clothes. Her hands and her body are still wrapped in a blanket as she makes it out of the room.
And she races into the bathroom, not sure how to meet his gaze. She hears a small, smushed chuckle from Rygan but doesn’t dare go back out. She freshens up and quickly joins him for the utterly delicious breakfast.
But she can’t stop her eyes from gaping at his lips as he licks them clean from the sauce. She lets out a gasp when their gazes meet as she looks back at her plate in mortification.
“I might have rushed you too much yesterday… Don’t overthink how your wolf reacted to me in that moment to heart. It’s just feral instincts,” he drawls.
Was it your feral instincts that made you call my name last night? Do you know that looking at you makes me want to feel your hands on my skin? Elise wanted to ask so badly, as the question weighed heavily on her tongue. “just feral instincts.” Her heart dropped a bit.
“We’ll take it slow and work on hunting today,” he tells her as she picks up her bacon. She makes sure to avoid eye contact, but she nods in understanding. The minute she’s ready, they’re out the door. Thankfully, this time she’s fully dressed.
They walk out into the woods, further than she and Kaide had ever reached. She walks behind Rygan, mapping out his huge build and the aura and authority he carries with each stride.
She shakes her head to get those thoughts of him out her head “you’re here to train and nothing else..just feral instincts” she scolds.
She can’t help but yawn from not getting enough sleep last night after what she witnessed. “Tired?”All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

“Deal,” she calls with a smile. “So what are we going to hunt? You never told me,” she expecting him to bet rabbits or hares, but his gaze had turned dark with mischief as he announced.
“You, my little wolf, are going to hunt me.”
