Chapter 131 Ethan Is Missing
The harsh sea breeze blew as Ethan hid from the wind in her arms, with snowflakes swirling around
them.
Avery pointed to the distant sea and said, "My baby disappeared in this area. He was not as fortunate
as you. When he was taken out of my belly, he had no breath. He had never seen the sun of this
world."
"Little one, do you think it's cold for him alone at the bottom of the sea? Will you accompany him? It
might be a bit cold when you first go underwater, and the water will quickly spread to your lungs. You
will feel like your lungs are about to explode, experiencing intense pain and discomfort. You will want to
call for help, but you won't be able to utter a single word. Slowly, you will lose consciousness and sink
into darkness..." Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
"In the end, you will disappear forever in this world, leaving behind an indelible scar for his entire life.
You are his beloved son, and if he loses you, he will surely be heartbroken, won't he?"
Avery pinched his cheek and smiled self-mockingly. "You won't be like my own child. From conception
to departure, he was all a tragedy."
She held the child's hand and walked step by step towards the edge of the cruise ship. "Ethan, look,
the snow tonight is as heavy as last year. You must be very cold alone in the water, right? Don't be
afraid; Mommy has brought you a playmate."
The bottomless sea resembled a monster, roaring viciously with its wide open mouth, wanting to
devour everything.
Avery smiled gently at Ethan. "I'm sorry, my dear. I will repay you in the next life."
When Gail took the cake and turned around, there was no trace of the little one by her side.
Since the child learned to walk, he often wandered off. Luckily, with his arms and legs, he couldn't go
far.
She chased after him with the cake in hand, calling out, "Mr. Ethan, where did you hide?"
Looking at the empty corridor, Gail felt fear at that moment.
It only took her a few seconds to fetch the cake. How could a child who had just learned to walk
disappear from such a long corridor? She looked at the railing; Ethan shouldn't be able to fall off.
But in panic, Gail had to consider other possibilities. She dropped the cake and ran frantically towards
the bow of the ship.
She quickly found Jacob and said, "Mr. Hill, Mr. Ethan is missing!"
Layla slapped Gail's face. "I told you to put the child to bed. You can't even watch over one child! If
something happens to my son, I will feed you to the fish!"
Jacob gave her a cold glance, then turned to John. "Check the surveillance."
Gail was already in a panic. "I was gone for only a moment to get the cake, and Mr. Ethan disappeared.
Could he have fallen into the sea?"
"No." Jacob denied it outright, "His body cannot squeeze through or fall from anywhere high unless it's
intentional."
Intentional?
Who on this ship would dare lay a hand on his son? Unless...
Avery's face flashed in his mind.
It was impossible. She loved Ethan so much; she would never do anything to the child.
Jacob's figure had already disappeared from the deck.
Everyone on the ship panicked. The cruise ship was so big. If he really fell off the ship, he wouldn't
even be able to call for help.
However, Jacob went straight to the top floor. Was it possible that Avery took the child there? That was
where the incident happened last year.
He used all his strength to run this distance, and the snowflakes danced around him, blurring his vision.
