Purchased A Mr. Right

Chapter 1961

Chapter 1961

Mia's cell phone beeped .

After a short buzz, Milan sent her a message, reminding her that it was almost time.

Mia got up from her seat and whispered to Desmond beside her, "I'm going to the bathroom!"

Desmond nodded. "Yes."

She bowed slightly and left without disturbing others.

As soon as she left, the staff member next to Sonya whispered to her, "Where is she going?"

Sonya also looked at Mia's back.

"What do you think she will do? Sonya dissed her, so she must have escaped to the washroom!"

"She is playing smart. Double harmonics? Interesting. I've never heard of it!"

The two staff members were on Sonya's side, so they said whatever she liked to hear.

Hearing this, Sonya couldn't help sneering.

Mia did not go to the bathroom but went backstage.

A young girl stood at the door with a work card hanging on her chest. She seemed to have just graduated from college and was still working as an intern. She was holding a show schedule in her hand and waiting for someone anxiously.

Besides, she was even a little nervous.

She was sent her here to receive Strad, the mysterious violinist. She couldn't be more excited!

Seeing Mia coming over, the girl looked surprised and suspicious.

When Mia stopped in front of her, the girl hesitated for a long time and said, "Excuse me, are you Stra..."

She intended to ask Mia if she was Stra's assistant.

To her great surprise, Mia nodded. "Yes."

The girl was dumbfounded.

It had never occurred to her that the young girl standing in front of her was Stard! She looked Mia up and down. Gosh, Stard looked such a delicate and tender who seemed to be a few years younger than herself!

While the girl was still in a daze, Mia had already pushed open the door next to her.

The girl quickly came back to her senses and followed her. "Miss Strad, we've prepared a dress for you, and you have to change into it now!"

Next to the dressing table hung a starry gown.

Mia looked away after taking a glance at it.

She shook her head and said, "No, thanks. I prefer the one on me."

She liked the dress that Desmond had chosen for her.

Seeing the girl staring at her with all her eyes, Mia smiled carelessly and asked, "Where's my violin?"

The girl quickly gestured. "Here it is!"

Mia opened the box and took out the violin.

Mia reached out to turn up it.

After that, she didn't practice and just held the violin with her eyes closed.

The room was very quiet.

The girl couldn't help but hold her breath, waiting quietly next to her. It was until she heard the instruction from the walkie-talkie that she cautiously stepped forward and said with a gentle voice in case of disturbing her. "Miss Strad, it's your turn..."

Mia slowly opened her eyes and nodded. "Okay, thank you!"

From time to time, Desmond would look toward the exit.

The concert was drawing to an end.

However, the audience's enthusiasm rose- they were all here for the final performance.

Even if Desmond didn't turn around, he could still feel the frenzy of the audience behind him.

Strad, the mysterious and low-key violin master, only showed up on the international stage. So far, many people had only heard of the name but had never seen Strad. This concert would be her first show at home, which attracted a great many fans to vie for the ticket.

Almost all the audience in the performance hall came here only for Strad.

Nevertheless, Desmond didn't pay much attention to this violin master. All he was thinking about was Mia, who went to the washroom. Why hadn't she come back yet?

Was she lost?

Even if she was from the countryside and didn't know the life in the city, she wouldn't be so stupid as to forget the way, right?

Desmond looked at her watch, feeling a little worried.

He decided to wait for two more minutes before he went to look for her.

At this time, as the host announced the next performer, tides of screams and applause burst out from the audience.

A graceful figure walked up.

She walked to the chair in the middle with a violin in her hand.

After she sat down, all the lights on the stage were off, leaving only a spotlight on her.

Almost at the same time, all the audience quieted down and listened with rapt attention for fear that any noise would ruin the atmosphere.

Desmond also casually glanced at the stage.

With just one glance, his eyes abruptly narrowed.

Desmond remained very still. His fingers clenched the watch, even the knuckles turning white.

He saw his newly-married wife sitting in the middle of the performance stage with the pink, floor- sweeping dress. She slightly lowered her head, holding the violin in her left hand and the fiddlestick in her right.

Mia, holding her Stradivarius violin really lived up to her reputation.

The light and melodious sound of the violin rang out.

Mia closed her eyes all the time while playing the violin. Unlike other performers, she did not wear very formal and expensive clothes and only wore the dress Desmond chose for her, wearing light makeup. She was like a fairy from an otherworldly place.

She was playing classic music.

Her slender figure and the violin blended well and the fiddlestick in her hand was dancing on the strings.

She didn't show off skills, but she interpreted each note to the full.

This was a feast for the eyes.

In more than ten minutes, she played two melodies, and Desmond's eyes were glued to her.

He could only see Mia- all the people around him seemed to have disappeared.

She was earnest when playing the violin. In his eyes, her intent face was breathtakingly beautiful.

She touched him to his very soul.

Then there came the end.

Mia closed her eyes whenever she played the violin- she only communicated with the audience by music.

After the last quaver, she opened her eyes, stood up from the chair, and finished her performance with a bow.

Then, she turned around and left.

When Mia finished playing the violin and left, the audience remained silent for a minute, and then there were bursts of applause.

Everyone stood up.

...

Sonya and the two staff members beside her were petrified.

Their heads were filled with question marks.

Didn't she come from the countryside?

Sonya had never imagined that the rural woman that Desmond married would be Strad, the mysterious violin master!

Not long ago, Sonya had just mocked her for knowing little about music and violin, a high art...

In the end, Milan led all the symphony members to the stage to show their thanks.

Desmond didn't care about them and rushed backstage.

As soon as Mia put the violin back into the box, she saw Desmond dashing over with sparkling eyes.

Sonya also came backstage. Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

She was forced to come because she had promised her cousin.

Her cousin said to her, "Thank you for watching my performance!"

Sonya answered perfunctorily, "Well, you performed very well. Here is the bouquet for you!"

However, her cousin secretly pointed to Mia and said with evident excitement. "Did you Strad? She's my idol, and I just asked for an autograph from her! I didn't expect Strad to be a young and beautiful girl. Besides, she was so gentle when comforting me for the small mistake I made in my solo!"

Sonya fell silent, her face growing darker with anger.
