Obsessive CEO’s Sinful Wife

Chapter 658

Chapter 658

Serenity looked at Jackson in a little daze. After a while, she said, “In that case, I guess I must have been through so much just to meet you and fall in love with you. If I hadn’t gone through all these challenges, maybe I wouldn’t have met you.”

The prison sentence had turned Serenity’s life completely upside down. Otherwise, Serenity might have married Zeke and remained a lawyer. She might not fit in with the Shaw family after marrying Zeke. Maybe she would not even marry Zeke because of his parents‘ disapproval.

Whatever the possibilities, Serenity would not have met Jackson that fateful night and brought him home. Serenity and Jackson might eventually cross paths like two parallel lines.

Jackson’s eyelashes fluttered slightly. He pulled Serenity into a gentle hug and buried his face in her neck, taking a deep breath as if to inhale her scent. “Yeah, you too. It must have been to meet me.‘

Serenity was completely unaware that Jackson was partly responsible for the pain she had gone through. Had Jackson been kinder with some sympathy for her, her fate would have been different. The three years in prison might not have even happened. Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

Serenity felt Jackson’s arm around her trembling slightly. “What’s wrong? F

“Yeah. It’s a little cold here,” Jackson murmured.

cold?”

“I’ll get you a blanket,” Serenity said, wanting to get up. The door was not closed, and the wind at night was a little cold.

Jackson wrapped his arms around Serenity, refusing to let go. “I don’t need a blanket. Just hug me for a while.” His voice was a whisper, like a child wanting attention.

Serenity somehow thought jackson seemed like a child seeking comfort. She moved her arms and hugged him gently. “Is this better, Jack?” Her gentle voice combined with her gesture was heavenly music to him.

Jackson snuggled himself against her shoulder. “Yeah. Much better.” She was his only source of peace. Jackson had always thought of himself as someone unafraid of the cold. He could survive spending hours outside wearing thin clothes without feeling much chill in the cold.

Jackson would visit the place where his father had died every late night during his father’s death anniversary. He wondered if he would be frozen to death someday, just like his father. Living seemed meaningless to him. Death was nothing to him.

Serenity’s embrace made him feel warm again. Having experienced warmth, he began to fear the cold and longed for more warmth. Just like how he longed for her.

Outside the room, a figure stood by the window, staring blankly at the couple embracing each other.
