My Husband Wants Me Dead (Esther and Bradley)

Chapter 868

Chapter 868

Logan stepped out with his phone. After just a few strides, he spotted his parents approaching from the

opposite direction.

"Logan!"

"Dad, Mom," Logan greeted them.

Upon receiving Logan's message, his parents hurried to the hospital. For years, Logan had been

engrossed in work, avoiding romantic entanglements. His parents had resigned themselves to the idea

that he might remain a dedicated workaholic destined for a single life.

However, Logan surprised them tonight by revealing that he had a fiancee. Excitement surged through

his parents, prompting them to abandon their tasks and rush to the hospital to meet his partner.

"What's the situation with your fiancee?" they asked.

Logan solemnly replied, "Dad, Mom, have a seat. Let me talk to you first. Don't startle her."

-

In the garden.

Logan's parents sat, and he brought two cups of coffee from the vending machine.

"Dad, Mom, my fiancee is Esther Quill," he said.

Logan's parents, perplexed, asked, "Oliver's niece? Bradley's ex-wife? Isn't she deceased?"

"No, it's not her. It's her older twin sister," he clarified.

This revelation only deepened the confusion of Logan's parents.

Logan explained, "My fiancee and her twin sister were separated in childhood due to her father's

situation. While my fiancee has been abroad, her younger sister stayed in the country. As you know,

their father was an undercover DEA agent, making them vulnerable to retaliation." All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

"So why is your fiancee also named Esther?" Paul Foster asked.

Logan clarified, "They share the same identity."

Still skeptical, Tamara Every asked, "Logan, your father and I are not conservative. Even if it were

Bradley's ex-wife, it would be fine. We wouldn't mind. You've never been in a relationship before, and

we thought you might be interested in men. We've already mentally prepared ourselves, even if you

were into men."

"Mom, you're so open-minded. It sounds like I should find a man to fulfill your wishes," Logan teased.

Paul cleared his throat and asked seriously, "Logan, we are your parents, and we believe what you say.

But you need to think clearly. If your fiancee resembles Bradley's ex-wife, Bradley will come looking

sooner or later. How will you handle it then?"

"Dad, I'll protect her."

Seeing her son's responsibility, Tamara felt reassured and said, "It's good that you've decided. She's a

good girl. You must not let her down."

"Dad, Mom, there's one more thing," Logan said, broaching the most important point. "She's not feeling

well."

"With your Grandaunt Agatha here, what's there to be afraid of?" Tamara dismissed the concern.

Logan stated, "It's kidney disease, and she needs a kidney transplant."

"Your Grandaunt Agatha can't help either?"

Logan nodded.

"Then find a suitable kidney for transplantation. Take your time. There will be a suitable one eventually."

Tamara didn't worry about this matter. She took Paul and walked toward the hospital room.

At that moment, Logan stood still, watching his parents' backs. He felt his eyes sting.

When he was young, he perceived his parents as tall and robust. He couldn't reach their foreheads

even if he tiptoed and raised his little hands. Now, he had grown taller than them, yet he was still

deceiving and hurting them.

'Dad, Mom, I'm sorry! I can't tell you the truth for now.

'Once I complete this mission, I'll tell you the truth. Please forgive me.'
