My Husband Wants Me Dead (Esther and Bradley)

Chapter 47

Chapter 47

Bradley clutched the will, his vision darkening as the memory of Esther’s gaze on the operation theater

flashed in his mind. That look in her eyes felt like a poisoned knife that was torturing his heart. His

hands trembled uncontrollably, and a nameless sense of panic gripped him.

Jasper glanced at Bradley coldly and asked, “Do you regret it?”

Regret? How could he regret Esther’s death?

Bradley stood up and threw the letter into Jasper’s arms, coldly and arrogantly stating, “When she dies,

I’ll celebrate with two boxes of fireworks.” 1

Jasper was furious and did not even spare a glance at Bradley. He slowly opened his mouth and said

coldly, “Then please leave now, Mr. Warner. Don’t dirty Esther’s way out.”

Bradley looked deeply at Jasper before turning and leaving the hallway outside the operating room.

When he walked into an empty staircase, he clutched his chest in pain and slid down slowly against the

wall, feeling weak, tired, and lonely. He was like a drowning person, greedily gasping for the last

bit of air.

Every word in Esther’s will seemed to come to life in Bradley’s mind. He looked at his hands under the

dim light. His fingers were clean and slender, but they seemed to be stained with Esther’s blood. He

unconsciously curved his fingers into an arc that coincidentally matched Esther’s neck. He stared at his

hand blankly and felt an inexplicable fear.

“Mr. Warner?”

As Cole walked up the stairs, he unexpectedly encountered Bradley and tentatively called out to him. Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

Bradley instantly switched back into his guise as a dignified, elegant, cold CEO. He slowly rose to his

feet and casually asked, “What’s the matter?”

“The expert team is already looking at Madam’s condition.” Cole calmly finished his sentence, then

cautiously glanced at Bradley. “May I ask if you have any other orders?”

“Arrange for the best cardiac specialist for me.” Bradley coolly and distantly gave his orders.

Cole hurriedly complied, “Yes.”

Bradley strode up the stairs with his long legs, making his way to the rooftop of the building. The night

was thick and inky, the sky filled with stars twinkling above his head.

As he looked into the distance, the entire city was shimmering with dazzling lights, as if the stars had

fallen to earth, brilliant and beautiful.

Bradley stood at the rooftop’s edge, taking several deep breaths in silence, the numbness and

tremendous pain in his heart only slightly relieved.

Since his grandfather’s accident, Bradley has always paid attention to his physical health and had

regular check-ups yearly. He believed his body was incredibly healthy, but when the pain spread

throughout his body, he immediately thought it was a problem with his heart.

Felix was still young, so he could not afford anything to happen to him. He had to live well and

healthily.

Until Felix grew into an adult capable of standing on his own, Bradley would not allow any issue to

cause problems in his own body.

He deliberately put aside Esther’s life and death and took out his phone to make a call to his secretary.

Due to Felix’s situation, the company affairs had piled up into a small mountain, and he had to handle

them promptly.
