My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey)

Chapter 2275

"What do you mean?" Sheldon was very confused.

Preslie was speechless.

How should she explain this to him?

Preslie stamped her feet. She was embarrassed and anxious, "Anyway, regardless of what I mean, I won't help Tremaine!"

Sheldon was also feeling anxious.

Ever since Yesseca left Nashaland, Tremaine became more haggard and gaunt looking.

As Tremaine's most loyal assistant, Sheldon was extremely anxious about his well being.

Now that Tremaine had found out that everything had been a misunderstanding, Sheldon felt that the best thing for Tremaine was to get back with Yesseca.

Because he knew that if he got back together with Yesseca, then he wouldn't be so haggard anymore.

He was filled with joy when Preslie said that she was willing to agree to anything he asked for.

Preslie was Yesseca's best friend after all. If Preslie was willing to help them, then half the battle was won.

But now, he was growing increasingly anxious when she refused to help them.

Sheldon said, "Preslie, please. I won't ask for anything else from you. All I want is for you to talk to Yesseca and help the president get back together with her. You said that you'd agree to anything I asked for, please don't go back on your promise."

Preslie bit her lip.

She was very angry with herself and felt very uncomfortable.

Sheldon was practically begging her to help him with this. He looked so hopeful earlier too.

Because, when she told him that she would agree to anything he asked for, his eyes sparkled brilliantly with hope and joy.

Back then, she thought that he was happy because of her, but now, that was obviously not the case.

As for being angry at herself, well she was to blame for saying that to him in the first place!

If it weren't for her high hopes of thinking she had been invited on a dinner date with Sheldon, she never would have said something so foolish! Seriously! She had no one to blame but herself!

Not only was she letting Sheldon down, she unintentionally broke a promise she never meant to make.

Preslie made up

her mind and said,

"Sheldon, I'm sorry but I can't keep that promise. Yesseca wants nothing to do with Tremaine anymore. She is not willing to patch things up with him anymore. I won't go behind her back and try to convince her to get back with him!"

After saying this, she stormed out of the restaurant and disappeared into the night.

Tremaine stepped out of the private room.

Sheldon turned around and walked towards him.

He then said uneasily, "Mr. Tremaine, Preslie has left."

Sheldon had wanted to say something but stopped himself from saying it. Preslie had rejected Tremaine's request in the private room earlier. He felt that Tremaine must be very angry right now, so he tried hard to think of something to say that would cheer him up. But then, unexpectedly, Tremaine began to laugh. He then said, "Sheldon, it seems I've really messed up badly this time. I've done something truly unforgivable."

Sheldon looked at him quietly.

"Mr. Tremaine..."

Tremaine laughed again.

But his smile was a rather weak one.

There was a look of irony in his eyes, but it was a sense of irony that was meant for him. "So, it seems Yesseca isn't willing to forgive me even her friend refuses to help me get back together with her. Looks like I'm the only one interested in doing this."

Sheldon was quiet.

"Let's head back to Nashaland." Tremaine said.

The car drove all the way back to Nashaland.

As they were about to reach the border of Nashaland, Sheldon asked, "Mr. Tremaine, does this mean you're going to give up on Miss Cowell?"

"I'm not going to give up." Tremaine looked extremely haggard, but there was a glimmer of strong determination in his eyes.
