Chapter 1526
Charles agreed, "Steven's right."
Since entering the entertainment industry, the more he got to know people in it, the more he realized how low some could stoop. A few were as despicable as they came.
Janine's expression darkened. "He hit a wall with me. He might come to you all in the next couple of days."
"I'm prepared for this. Don't worry, Mom," Charles said, not at all bothered.
Harvey also nodded. "Same here. I will never forgive him."
Steven glanced at Mona, then looked back at Janine. "Mom, don't worry about this little issue. Whatever he wants to do is his business. If he really crosses a line, we're all adults-we can handle it."
Janine felt relieved and then looked toward Skylar and Joe. "I don't think he will approach you two. Still, it wouldn't hurt to be prepared."
"Mom, I understand. Don't worry. He's probably trying to get Steven, Charles, and Harvey to get tested. He probably won't come to me," Skylar said with clarity.
On the way here, she and Joe had already discussed this. They had speculated on what kind of situation Finn was in.
As for Finn's daughter's illness, they still hadn't figured out what it was.
"That's true. I didn't realize what kind of person he really is," Janine started to say. She had wanted to call Finn selfish and opportunistic, but she changed her words. After all, he was the father of several children.
"His daughter isn't in Jipsburg. She's probably getting treated overseas," Joe said after reading a message from Paul on his phone. He looked at Janine and spoke.
Janine froze for a moment, then nodded. "He has the resources to make sure the people around him get the best treatment."
Steven frowned. "Overseas? If it's just leukemia, the medical level in the country should be enough to handle it."
"People really can't be compared. Back then, he kicked us aside like we were an obstacle, and now he treats his daughter like a princess. Tsk!" Charles sneered in anger.
Harvey's face darkened as well. "If they can go abroad for treatment, paying for a bone marrow donation should be easy. Why come to us for help?"
Janine didn't want to dwell on this
topic any longer. "It's getting late Let's go out to eat. Mr. Read has already arranged everything with the restaurant."
"Mom, does Mr. Read know about this?" Skylar asked.
Janine nodded. "I didn't hide anything from him. After I met that person today, I told Mr. Read. He supports all of my decisions."
When Ted was mentioned, Janine's expression softened.
Skylar said with a smile, "Mr. Read is great."
With Ted by her side, Janine's mood must have improved. After all, Finn,
who had disappeared for 20 years,
had deceived Janine of her youth and most of her life.
Anyone in her shoes would have had difficulty accepting the truth when it was revealed.
"Mom, before we go out, I have
some good news to announce. Our
family is getting a new
member Mona is pregnant," Steven
said, wrapping his arm around Mona's shoulder, eager to share the joy with his family. Content belongs
Mona's cheeks flushed slightly, her eyes filled with the joy of soon becoming a mother.
Skylar's eyes lit up. "Does this mean I'm going to be an aunt?"
"Am I going to be a grandmother?" Janine asked, surprised and thrilled.
"I'm going to be an uncle. Wow!" Charles was equally stunned.
Harvey was also excited. "I'm going to be an uncle too. This is great!"
Meanwhile, Joe smiled faintly, his gaze falling on Skylar. A few months ago, they had been expecting their child, but...noveldrama
He thought Skylar's feelings must be mixed right now-there was happiness, but also some memories lingering in her heart.
