Chapter 0087
The first emotion that racked over Amara's body when she was pinned to the floor was fear. Pure, raw fear.
Her attacker, whoever they were, pressed so much weight on her back that she grunted in pain.
"What? Who the hell are you? Get off!" She struggled, wriggling in his hold.
Although she managed to spin around, relieving some of the pressure from her stomach and now laying on her back, she was unable to get her attacker off her.
Now laying on her back, able to get a better view, she could see that her attacker was a man, clothed in a thick black hoodie, face mask and a face cap.
Everything about him screamed shady and dangerous and it made the hair on the back of Amara's neck stand all the more.
"Let go! Get off me!" She continued to struggle despite the fear she was feeling.
Did he have a weapon? Why was he attacking her? Who sent him?
All those questions blurred Amara's mind so much that she didn't see her attacker raising his hand. His action only registered in her mind when a painful sting was felt at the side of her cheek. Her ears rang, loudly.
"What a noisy bitch," He sneered, deep voice penetrating the ringing sound in Amara's ears. "If you know what's good for toy, you'll keep quiet and take your punishment." He said and dug one hand into his pocket, searching for something, while the other firmly pinned both of her hand against her chest.
Amara blinked back angry and painful tears. "Why are you doing this?"
Her attacker seemed to have found her question ridiculous. He paused and stared at her like she had grown a second head. "Wow, how stupid," The loud that rolled off his lips made her flinch. He leaned down and she nearly felt like vomiting when she strong smell of alcohol engulfed her. "Didn't you know something like this was coming for you when you went around bullying my love?"
""Your love?"
"Celestine," His eyes glazed over as he mentioned her name and for a second, he looked like a love sick puppy. "As lovely as she is," he turned his gaze back to her and glared. "You dared bully her." "So...she set you up to this?"
"She's far too innocent to do something like this..."

"It's the one who loves her the most, obviously. He ordered me to do this."
It took Amara's mind a few seconds. to register what he had just said and another few seconds to piece two and two together, but when she did, it felt like a brick had just been dropped on her head.
The person who loved Celestine the most... Tobias?
He was the one who put this hooligan up to this?
The realization felt like a stab through her chest. No matter how many she had told herself she didn't are in the past, today had proven different.
She did care, and hearing Tobias had hired someone to hurt her was a punch straight to the gut.
"Look at that expression," Her attacker cooked. "Just keep that expression on, it'd be blissful catching it on camera while I fuck your brains out."
His words registered faster than
anything ever had in Amara's mind and in second, she was back to thinking about how to get this man off her, rather than Tobias's action.
Just as he brought a white napkin out of his pocket and took it close to her nose, Amara brought her knee up and kneed him right in the crouch. Crying out in pain, the man collapsed to the ground while Amara shot up. Without wasting time, she turned and attempted to run.
That was until a wave of dizziness hit her. She staggered, but remained standing.
'What drug is that?' She wondered, marveled at the effect it had on her just because of the little sniff she had inhaled.
But no matter how curious she was,
Amara didn't want to stick around
and find out. As best as she could
she rushed towards her car. But the door was slammed shut by he attacker the moment she putted it open.
She ducked to the side in time to avoid the fist he had swung at her and heard the glass of her car shatter as she raced down the street.
