Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 938

When Luke heard the news, his irritability finally eased a bit. As long as Flora wasn't ahead of him, he could handle everything else.

...

Returning to the Reyes racing team, Flora was met with a swarm of teenagers buzzing around her. Their eyes were alive with excitement, like they were ready to hoist her up in celebration at any moment. With a cool gaze, Flora warned them, "Hold up, anyone who charges at me is getting decked."

After that, she flopped right into Connor's arms. "Connor, did I look awesome back there?"

Around Connor, she was a totally different person-more relaxed, almost a little spoiled.

"Yeah, you were incredible, really cool," Connor replied, taking her helmet and setting it down on a chair before handing her a steaming cup of hot water he'd prepared. "Here, have some hot water." "Little sis, you were amazing out there!" Henrik shouted, clearly thrilled after watching Flora race for the first time.

Flora beamed, her eyes sparkling. In the presence of her family, she let down all her defenses and dropped the icy exterior.

"Hey, who are you chatting with?" she asked Henrik, catching a glimpse of his unlocked phone screen, where she could see his conversation and a photo he had shared.

"Cecelia," Henrik answered, pursing his lips.

"Really?" Flora perked up. "So, are you two dating now?"

When she first came to Lone Island, her brother had been starting to pursue Cecelia. At the mention of her, Henrik's smile faded a bit, and he shook his head with a sigh. "Nope."

It seemed she just wasn't into him that way. Noticing his downcast look, Flora didn't press any further.

The first race wrapped up. Even though Flora beat Luke, the Reyes team still lost. Her solo win wasn't enough; the rest of the team needed to pull through too.

Soon, the second round of the relay race kicked off! Adrian stepped up to draw lots for the Karters. His palms were slick with sweat from nerves.

"My sister has to be first! She has to!" he hoped fervently.

But reality wasn't so kind. Flora

ended up last in the lineup. The first

spot went to a mediocre racer on

the Reyes team, with Andy in seventh and Adrian in eighth. This lineup was practically set for failure.

Adrian was nearly in tears. His luck couldn't be worse. This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

"Don't worry, we've got ten chances!" everyone assured him quickly.

The relay race had ten chances to keep things fair, with random draws for positions, so everyone had a shot at leading.

On the Jones side, Luke was third, with Karl leading. Unsurprisingly, they won.

The second round commenced, and Adrian's face turned ghostly pale at the lineup. Seeing his expression, the Reyes team felt their spirits sink. Once again, Flora was last. This round was a tad better, with Adrian second and Andy fourth. But on the Jones side, Luke was first.

"What kind of luck does the Reyes family have? Twice now and Flora's still last."

"If this keeps up, the Reyes family is really going to lose."

Everyone shook their heads in resignation. The second relay round was ju like that-relying on both

skill and luck. It seemed fate wasn't on the Reyes family's side.

The second round wasn't as rough a loss as the first, but the Reyes family still didn't come out on top. After two rounds, Flora hadn't even hit the track.

Adrian drew lots once more. Flora's spot? Still last. This time, even the oblivious ones started to sense something was off.
