Chapter 25
Chapter 25
Chapter 25 Some unusual feeling flashed across Raymond’s heart when he saw Scarlett slowly approaching him. He initially thought that she was going to do something, but she only stopped inches away from him. She did not say anything and only stared at him. People were coming in from outside, hence Raymond frowned and took a step back. “You can’t seduce me; I’ve never been interested in you.” Scarlett retreated as well and looked at him. She twitched her mouth and asked, “I was right about you living inside a dream. Do you know what I was doing just now?” Raymond realized that what she was going to say next would not be pleasant to hear, but he still asked, “What?” “I was looking if the word “shameless” is written on your face. If not, how could you have such disgusting behavior today?” Once Scarlett finished, she sneered. “Raymond Shaw, you need to be clear on one thing-I might’ve liked you three years ago, but it doesn’t mean that I’ll still like you after three years. I was the one who wanted to get married three years ago, but I was also the one who asked for a divorce after three years. You have to know that my liking for you ended when I asked for the divorce. “I’ve long said that we’re just strangers after the divorce and that we can turn a blind eye against each other unless we can’t. I think I’ve been doing well, whereas you, Raymond, your narcissistic and baseless accusations make me wonder even more if you suddenly realized that you have feelings for me.” This content belongs to Nô/velDra/ma.Org .
Raymond’s face stiffened. Just as he wanted to say something, Scarlett had turned around to g o back into Clear Waters. Raymond’s face became darker and grimmer when he turned around to watch her leave. He also turned around and left after two seconds. Just as he got in the car, he took out his phone. Frank picked up very quickly on the other end of the call. “Mr. Shaw?” “There’s no need to discuss the collaboration with Centel anymore.”
After he finished, he hung up right away. Frank looked down at the “Call Ended” words on his phone. He did not know how the people from Centel offended Raymond, so much so that the collaboration was called off after just a meal. Scarlett walked back to the dining area quickly. Her anger made her face look bright and cold a s if it was asking strangers to stay away from her. After returning to her seat, Scarlett’s anger had almost subsided. She looked at Alexis and asked, “Have you finished eating?” Alexis sensed an unexplainable rage and answered, “Yes.” She clapped her hands and turned sideways. “Why did Raymond ask to talk to you? How did he piss you off like this?”. Scarlett did not want to talk about it. She shook her head and said, “Nothing.” Alexis was sensible enough to not ask further. “Don’t be mad, don’t be mad. Julie left with a stiff face just now. It seems like they didn’t have a good talk.” Scarlett had indeed been infuriated by Raymond but when she heard Alexis talk about Julie, she began to lose interest. “Mm.” She looked at Michael and asked, “Are you full?” “Mm.” Scarlett did not have the mood to stay here anymore. She picked up her bag and said, “I’ll send you back then.” Alexis could also tell that she was not in a good mood. She took a sip of coffee and looked reluctantly at the unfinished dishes on the table, then she also picked up her bag and prepared to get up and leave. The three of them had just left Clear Waters when they ran into Justin. Scarlett raised his eyebrow and turned to look at Alexis, who was burping next to her. She smiled and said, “Well, I don’t need to send you back anymore.” Alexis jumped to Justin’s side and hugged him as soon as she saw him. She did not care about her cold persona at all. Justin held her with one hand and took her bag with the other. He nodded at Scarlett to greet her.
Scarlett grinned. “Alright, I’ll leave her to you. Her suitcases are still in my trunk.” Justin responded to her then asked, “Are you free next month?” Scarlett raised her eyebrow and remembered Future Technologies’s listing. “I’m not going, you can go.” “Okay.”
