Chapter 100
The kids and everyone that was coming, finally showed up at Raine and Jax’s house.
“Ok everyone’s here. What’s going on?” Raine asked.
“Well, ah, mom, dad…” Jade stuttered.
Levi decided to help her out. “I asked Jade to marry me and she said yes.”
“Ok. We’ve all figured that’s how it would go once you’ve come back from the service. I don’t understand what’s going on.” Jax replied.
“What’s changed is we’re getting married before I ship out. Jade’s coming with me.” Levi explained.
“How’s that gonna work out with Jade going to college?” Jax demanded.
“She’d live on base with me and take online classes.” Levi replied.
“Or, she can go to college and when you’re back and she’s graduated then you can get married.” Jax responded.
“No matter how much time passes I still want her as my wife, with me.” Levi replied.
“What’s the big rush?” Jax demanded. “Jade?” Jax glared at Levi. “JADE!”
“I’m pregnant!” Jade whispered.
Jax looked at Jade. “Levi you’ve got a thirty second head start.”
“No! Dad!” Jade screamed.
“Jaxton!” Raine warned.
“Prez please!” Hawk pleaded.
“Sir, with all due respect I’m not running. I love Jade. I want to marry her and take care of her and the baby. If we get married, she can live on base with me.” Levi explained.
“What about her career?” Jax demanded.
“Online classes until we’re settled. Then we can check into more after the baby arrives. I’m not leaving her to raise my baby without me. They’re both coming with me.” Levi said firmly.
“And this is what you want Jade? To leave your home and family and be left alone when he gets deployed?” Jax asked.
“Yes dad. I love him. This is his baby too. You want me to keep his baby away from him? And if he’s going to be gone for a while, I can always come visit my family. Our baby needs to know its grandparents and aunts and uncles and cousins.” Jade explained.
Raine gave a little sob and grabbed Jax’s arm. “I don’t like it. But you are 18 and it’s not like I can stop it.
But I’m warning you if you hurt or give her a miserable life you won’t get another thirty second warning, you got me?” Jax demanded.
“Yes sir! I’d never hurt her, I’ll protect them with my life! I love them.” Levi explained.
They decided to have a cookout at the clubhouse. Maverick and the guys filled Jax in on the TJ situation.
“Wow, can’t believe my baby sis is pregnant and getting married.” Maverick replied.
“Yeah, it’s a shocker.” Hanna retorted.
“Baby what’s that about?” Maverick asked.
“Nothing. I’m fine.” Hanna responded.Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.
“When you say that I know it’s not fine. So, tell me.” Maverick demanded. “Is this about the 5-year plan? You changing your mind?”
“No. I want us settled in our careers before we have kids.” Hanna replied.
“Then what?” Maverick asked.
“Nothing! Just drop it. I mean damn do I gotta tell you how to do everything?” Hanna stood up and stormed off.
Maverick was puzzled at her reaction. He didn’t understand why she was so pissed. “What did I do?”
“Fuck if I know man.” Maddox replied.
“I’ll go talk to her.” Jasmine responded as she left.
“Thanks sis.” Maverick replied.
Jasmine found Hanna in the bathroom crying. “Oh, Hannah what’s wrong?”
“It’s stupid and silly.” Hanna whispered.
“If it’s upsetting you obviously not. So, what is it?” Jasmine asked.
“It’s not the baby thing. I’m not ready for that yet. It’s the marriage thing. We’ve been together and even living together for a while and talking about the future and kids but not once has he mentioned marriage. So, what he just wants to live together and have kids but not make me his wife?” Hanna explained.
“Have you told him your feelings? Maybe y’all just need to tell each other exactly what you want for the future. I mean there’s so many things. Maybe he’s afraid to ask?” Jasmine asked.
“I don’t want him feeling pressured into doing what I want. I want him to ask me because it’s what he wants. If he only asks because I told him then how do I know if it’s really what he wants?” Hanna explained.
“I understand. You want him to but only if it’s really what he wants.” Jasmine said.
“Right. Hearing Jade and Levi talk about getting married just reminded me that’s what I want too.” Hanna responded.
“Yeah, me too. Now I’m sad. Maddox hasn’t mentioned it either.” Jasmine sighed.
“Sorry. I just want him to come to me and say he loves me and can’t see his life without me in it. And he wants marriage, kids, a home, the whole family forever after thing.” Hanna replied.
“That sounds so nice.” Jasmine sighed again.
“Yeah.” Hanna agreed.
“Well let’s get back out there. The food is probably done by now.” Jasmine replied.
“You go ahead. I need to wash my face. I’ll be there in a few minutes.” Hanna replied.
“Ok don’t take too long. The food will be gone and you know he’ll come looking for you.” Jasmine warned.
She left and went back to the guys. She sat down at the picnic table beside of Maddox. Maverick was on the opposite side.
“Now what’s wrong with you?” Maddox asked.
“Well? What’s wrong with Hanna?” Maverick butted in.
“I can’t tell you.” Jasmine explained.
“Why the hell not?” Maverick demanded.
“Because she told me in confidence.” Jasmine explained.
Maverick just gave her a look. “Ok fine! I’ll give you a hint but that’s it! And you better not tell her!” Jasmine warned.
“Ok.” Maverick agreed.
“Ok think about it. You live together. You’re talking about kids in the future. What’s the one thing missing from that equation?” Jasmine asked.
Maverick and Maddox look at each other confused. Jasmine points to her ring finger.
“Fuck!” They both say.
“Really?” Jasmine asked Maddox.
“No baby I didn’t mean anything.” Maddox stuttered.
“Yeah, well if you asked me now, I’d tell you hell no!” Jasmine retorted as she scooted away and crossed her arms.
“Baby I’m sorry. I was just surprised. Don’t know why I didn’t think of it. You know us men don’t think about that stuff.” Maddox explained.
“Why didn’t she say anything?” Maverick asked.
“Because if she did how would she know if it’s really what you want or if you’re just asking to keep her happy?” Jasmine asked.
“Because if we don’t want to do something we won’t do it even if you asked. But we do need to talk about things you want and don’t want.” Maverick replied.
“Shit! Here comes Hanna. Not a word!” Jasmine warned.
