Quintus immediately set off to make arrangements, but not before
reminding her to put on a long coat. He was worried she might catch a cold. "All right. Go on now."
Lexi stepped in quickly, placing the coat over Mackenzie herself. She could
not allow Quintus to get so close to Mackenzie.
Muttering to himself, Quintus left to organize the search.
Standing behind Mackenzie, Rhett curiously asked, "Your Holiness, why are

Mackenzie, looking a bit worried, answered, “They were rescued by someone.
I am afraid they are connected to the Five Poison Sect. If they are still nearby,
it is not too bad. However, if they have already left, they might be in Silvergate by now."
Rhett, being quick to grasp the situation, understood right away. "You fear that they, along with the Five Poison Sect, may have set up an ambush in Silvergate?"

Rhett nodded in agreement.
Quintus soon returned, reporting, "Mackenzie, we found the bandits' hideout,

Mackenzie only smiled. "All right, let us go. Tomorrow, we will attend the banquet."
At the same time, in a grand estate in Silvergate...
Though the architecture was not as contemporary as that in the more
developed cities of Nuthana or Eldoria, the estate was vast. It was even larger
than the Quillen and Quill family estates, resembling an ancient palace.
Ken Willy had just sent off a group of guests and returned to the living room

Lenore knew how dangerous Ken's position was. Both Teddy and Mackenzie

Chamber of Commerce, they would surely eliminate him to secure their
power.
Thus, the wisest move now was to remain neutral, assess the situation, and
then join the winning side.

Lenore was still deeply concerned.
Ken, however, was confident. "I will not die. If Mackenzie wins, she will save me

After finishing their discussion, the couple lay down to rest.
They were, indeed, a model couple.
Elsewhere, Ethan was busy with national affairs and had urgent matters to
handle in Zovince. He had to fly back that night.
Emmanuel, assigned to protect him, was scheduled to fly back as well.
However, Emmanuel had received word from Mackenzie that she would be

This had been orchestrated by Envoy Amethyst. Mackenzie had come to

As Mackenzie stepped through the gate, Ken, who had been waiting outside,
warmly greeted her.
Though his reception was polite, the absence of other business leaders left
Mackenzie feeling disappointed.
