The Three Little Guardian Angels

Chapter 2725

Chapter 2725

#The next day, Leah attended a meeting with the Secretary–General. They were meeting elected officials from other countries. She took notes during the session while interpreting for the Secretary– General.

After the two–hour meeting ended, she walked out of the building with the Secretary–General, who turned around next to the car. “I’m heading somewhere else. You can take the rest of the day off.”

Leah nodded. “Alright. See you soon.”

After the car drove away, Leah took out her phone, which was on silent mode, and saw that Morrison had sent her a message. She smiled and called him. “I was in a meeting. Have you considered, Mr. Shaw?”

Morrison cleared his throat and said in a very serious tone, “What time will the girlfriend be done with work today?”

She smiled. “5:00 p.m.”

“What does the girlfriend feel like having today?”

“…” Her lips curled. “Anything works. I’ll eat whatever I can get, including the boyfriend.”

Morrison was drinking, so he choked and coughed very hard when he heard that. After calming down, he gnashed his teeth. “Leah, seeing how excited you are, I’m… looking forward to seeing you.”

Leah was going to say something more, but she saw someone and quickly said, “I have something else to attend to. I’ll speak to you tonight.”

Before he could reply, she had already hung up.

Morrison laughed. “She doesn’t even take responsibility for what she said.”

Leah started walking toward a woman wearing a mask until she took off her mask. It was Aina. NôvelDrama.Org owns all © content.

Aina looked around. “Can I speak to you?”

Leah nodded.

They went to a cafe nearby. Leah ordered two lattes and looked at Aina, who was in a turtleneck.

Aina was around her age, but the way she dressed made her look older. It was warm outside, yet she was in a turtleneck.

Leah remembered the marks on her wrists. “Ms. Mogen, is there something that you can’t tell me?”

Aina wanted to say something but didn’t.

Noticing her nerves, Leah softened her tone. “I could tell that something was going on between you and Dennis, but I know you have a secret. He doesn’t treat you well, right?”

Aina curled up her fingers and bit her lip. She was struggling.

When the server brought their coffees, she handed one to Aina. “You told me not to trust Dennis, so I believed you. I know that Dennis isn’t a simple person.”

Aina looked at the cup, and her lips parted. Her voice was hoarse. “I’m afraid of him.”

Leah paused. “Did he abuse you?”

She turned pale, and after a long pause, she pulled down her collar and showed red marks on her neck.

Leah was shocked. “He did that?”

Aina couldn’t help but cover her face and burst out crying.

Leah handed her a few napkins. “Can you tell me what actually happened?”

Aina took the napkins and shook her head. “There’s no point. He didn’t leave any evidence. Even if there are scars on my body, the police won’t be able to book him as long as he doesn’t admit to doing anything to me. It’s impossible that I could be a threat to him based on who he is.”

Leah got up and sat down next to her. “Aina, tell me. I’ll try to help you.”

After a long pause, Aina asked, “Why are you helping me?”

“You were nice enough to warn me about him. I know you did that because you’re a good person.”

Aina’s eyes darted around, and she said after a long time, “I warned you because you aren’t like the other women. His looks wouldn’t trick you.”
