The Almighty Lord Caspian

Chapter 759 Hidden Activities

Chapter 759 Hidden Activities

Miranda was about to head out to get groceries for dinner.

She felt a little embarrassed to live under Caspian's protection in his house and decided to buy

groceries to make a healthy meal for Willow.

Caspian had already advised everyone not to leave the house if there was nothing important.

But Miranda decided to slip out as she couldn't just stay around doing nothing any longer.

She believed it would be fine if she went to a crowded place in broad daylight.

Right after Miranda left the house, two men from Skyarch Palace already had their sights on her.

They never tried to capture their target inside Riverside Villa directly as they knew that Caspian and

Tom would make it way too difficult for them to do their job.

They had been lurking around the house and patiently waited for an opportunity to arise.

Just as they were deeply anxious about not being able to finish their task, their prey had willingly

served itself up to them.

Miranda hummed a little tune on the way to the farmers' market when two men appeared from the

nearby bushes.

She immediately shouted for help but was quickly silenced by one of the men covering her mouth. The

two men then forcefully brought her back into the bushes.

Miranda had already lost consciousness before she could even try to struggle.

The Skyarch Palace men immediately moved the unconscious Miranda into their car.

They then assigned some men to stay behind to continue monitoring Riverside Villa.

Half an hour later, Tom went to look for Miranda for a chat, only to realize that she was not in the

house.

He began to panic as he went out of the house to look for her.

The thought of Miranda being kidnapped had yet crossed his mind.

Tom continued to look around the house until a sharp knife flew out from the woods.

His expression soured as he took a few steps back.

The sharp knife flew straight into a nearby tree.

Tom looked over to the direction the knife had come from and noticed a silhouette making its escape.

He didn't chase after the silhouette as he saw that there was a letter attached to the knife.

Tom took down the knife and opened the letter.

"Your woman is currently in our hands. If you wish for her to live another day, bring the Black Moon

Technique Scroll to Lunar Lake in the east of the city in exchange for her life!

"Don't try to let anyone else know about this. We'll kill Miranda right away if we see that you're not

coming alone, no questions asked."

Tom was trembling with anger after reading the letter.

He realized that Miranda had been kidnapped by the Skyarch Palace men.

He couldn't believe that they would stoop so low as to kidnap an innocent woman to acquire the Black

Moon Technique Scroll.

Tom was left in a daze. He had already fallen in love with Miranda when she provided him warmth

when he needed it the most. So, now, he would be there to rescue her when she needed him the most.

However, the Black Moon Technique Scroll was also very precious to him. If Raging Blade were to get

their hands on the scroll, it would prove disastrous for the entirety of Diatoran. Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

If Darren were to learn the secrets of the Black Moon Technique and pair it with the Black Moon itself,

his power would be immeasurable.

On the one hand was Miranda, while on the other was the Black Moon Technique Scroll. Tom was

stuck in between a rock and a hard place.

He had no idea what he should do.

Tom wanted to consult Caspian for his opinion, but the letter had already made it clear that he wasn't

allowed to tell anyone about Miranda's kidnapping.

Miranda's life would be in danger if the Skyarch Palace men learned that he had told Caspian what

happened.

Suddenly, a voice came from behind Tom, "Tom? What are you doing out here?"

Tom was snapped back from deep thought and turned around to see Aria.

He quickly came up with an excuse, saying, "Nothing! Just out here for a walk."

He then crumpled and hid the letter in his hand.

Tom couldn't afford to let Aria know about Miranda's kidnapping.

Aria walked up to him and asked, "Really? Why do you seem so anxious?"

As a member of Task Force Rose, Aria quickly realized that Tom was behaving weirdly.

Tom tried his best to calm himself down. "It's nothing."

Aria asked, "You can't fool me. I can tell that you were panicking."

"I'm really not. I was just slightly spooked by you calling out to me."

"What are you holding in your hand? Can I have a look?"

Aria noticed that his clenched fist seemed to be holding onto something.

Tom shook his head and replied, "I'm not holding onto anything."

He cursed at himself for not shoving the letter into his pocket earlier.

Aria blushed and continued, "Hmm? Then what are you doing out here? Are you…"

She noticed that Tom was panicking with a clenched fist. He looked like he was being caught at the

wrong time.

Tom helplessly explained, "What are you talking about? I told you I'm just out here for a walk."

He didn't even realize what Aria was implying. He just wanted her to go away.

"Aren't you going after Miranda right now? Can't she help you with that?"

She really assumed that he had come out of the house just to avoid being caught at the wrong time.

"Oh, well, I won't force you if you don't wanna tell me what's going on," Aria replied before she left.

Tom let out a sigh of relief.

The next moment, Aria paused her steps, pulled out her gun, and pointed it at Tom.

He had no idea why Aria was holding him at gunpoint.
