Chapter 3224
Chapter 3224
Dylan barely ate during breakfast as he slept poorly last night.
He put all the food in a resealable bag before following Grandma May out.
"Have a drumstick, Nana."
Dylan passed a drumstick to her. He turned toward Dolly, who sat before the table and had a greasy mouth from eating, and said, "Who's that girl, Nana? She's definitely enjoying her food." "She's Dolly. Her parents take care of the garden. I like her a lot."
Dylan ate the fish Grandma May cooked. He said, "You like every little girl you meet. You even tried to steal Chloe back the last time you visited the Johnsons."
Grandma May regretfully said, "Our family is just as good as the Johnsons. Even if Clo-clo were to live with us, it'd be a similar environment. Unfortunately, the Johnsons weren't willing to let her go. I guess Ben was scared that I'd kidnap his daughter. He was at home every day when I visited and kept staring at me."
"Of course, they wouldn't be willing. Chloe is their only great-granddaughter. If I were Ben, I would've been wary of you too."
Dylan could imagine that scene.
His nana truly wanted a granddaughter or great-granddaughter.
When he was young, he even teased his parents to go for IVF and have a fourth child. They could probably get a daughter then.
In the end, he got beaten up by his parents.
They said they would wait for their grandchildren to be born.
They told their sons to try for a daughter in the future.
"What do you want to tell me?" Grandma May asked.
Dylan smiled. "Can't I be here because I miss you, and want to see you? Must I have something to tell you for me to be back?"
Grandma May laughed dryly. "Aside from Rowan, who didn't spend much time with me, you and your brothers grew up with me and Gramps. I taught you all everything. I always know what you guys are up to right away.Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
"Zachary and Serenity treated you to
dinner last night. Ms. Doyle was there too. If my memory serves me right, the person I chose for you was precisely Ms. Imogen Doyle, the second daughter of the Doyle family from Huntington.
"You two aren't the eldest in your families. Although you two don't have to take over your families' businesses, you and Imogen can make money on your own. I think you two suit each other in that aspect. "She has a fine personality as well. She's a good match for you."
Grandma May added, "You're all my grandsons. I raised and nurtured you all for your own good. In order to look for the best partners for you all, I went to many places and kept an eye on countless young girls. painstakingly chose those girls amongst many for you and your brothers.
"If you can find a girl that I'm satisfied with, that's fine too.
"The problem is, you and your brothers will definitely plan to stay single if I don't interfere. Although your parents look like they don't care, they're actually very anxious. Since they can't control you all, they left me in charge instead."
Dylan smiled. "We're lucky to have you, Nana. You choosing our wives saved us a lot of trouble. We don't even have to be wary of the women coming for our money and status."
Grandma May ate the drumstick elegantly as they walked to the garden. There was a summer house and a stone path, perfect for resting after flower gazing.
Although Wiltspoon was not that cold during winter, there were fewer blooms compared to spring. The garden was not bursting with various colors of flowers as it was in spring.
Grandma May went to the summer house. Dylan followed. Before she sat, he quickly wiped a chair for her."
"It's not dirty because it's often occupied. Our employees also clean this place. It's definitely squeaky clean." Those who worked and lived there maintained the place well.
Grandma May often mingled with the employees. They were close enough that they did not mind getting messy and dirty together.
Knowing that she often went to the employees' quarters to have fun, Sam had also arranged for workers to maintain the cleanliness there.
