Chapter 32 Conquered by Him
Chapter 32 Conquered by Him
Matilda could not get used to the food here, so she usually cooked by herself at home. Fortunately,
there was a supermarket nearby, where the food was expensive, there were many varieties.
She took the cucumber out. Sidney liked to eat smacked cucumber, so she was to cook one.
At this time, the cucumber was taken away. Matilda looked up and found Samuel naturally took over
the cucumber in her hand, put down the faucet to clean it.
From her point of view, his profile lines were exactly the same as when they lived together, but Samuel
would never have appeared in the kitchen back then.
She remembered that Samuel hated cooking and all the trifles.
“I'll do it myself.” Matilda wanted to take it, but Samuel had cleaned it, holding a knife on the chopping
board, as if he was thinking about cutting into slices or pieces.
Hearing that, he asked her without raising his head, “How do you want to cook it?”
“Smacked cucumbers.” Matilda spoke out unconsciously.
At this moment, Samuel looked up at her and smiled. His eyes were dark. Her heart beat faster seeing
such a smile.
She blushed and ran quickly out of the room.
So Samuel got the dinner ready, three dishes and one soup, plus a small cold dish with all the fish and
vegetables. Matilda was almost shocked when he served them.
Aaron seemed to deliberately avoid Samuel, he called in the afternoon saying that he would not come
back for dinner. Although Matilda was worried, she could do nothing.
She needed to have a talk with Samuel.
But before she could have the talk, Matilda was so overwhelmed by the dishes.
Before dinner, Samuel had a video chat with Rebecca before he fed Sidney.
Sidney usually ate with a spoon, but Matilda seemed to have no spoon. Samuel was afraid he stabbed
himself with chopsticks, so he had to feed him.
Sidney was obviously very satisfied with his father's cooking and ate one bite after another.
Matilda immersed herself in eating, thinking that Samuel must have taken good care of the children. It Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
was not necessary for her to go back.
In a few more years, the children would grow up and gradually would have no desire for their mother.
At the thought of this, her heart beat violently and the food lost its favor in mouth.
She gave birth to the children. Thinking that they called other mom, she was upset.
“What are you thinking of?” Samuel's voice interrupted her thought. She came back to sense and saw
Samuel picked up a piece of chili chicken to her bowl. The chili oil was red, looking appetitive.
She put down her bowl and said weakly, “I'm full. You go ahead.”
Then she turned and walked away.
She did not see that Samuel's hand trembled as she turned around, and a small piece of cucumber fell
off his chopsticks.
The way he looked at Matilda was complicated.
That night, Matilda sat on the floating window with the quilt in her arms, and she was in a daze for a
long time.
She got up slowly until she felt numb from sitting on her hips.
She was thirsty and went to the living room for a glass of water.
She had to pass by Samuel's room to get to the living room. She did not want to do so, so he detoured
a long way and came down from the other side of the stairs.
Then there was a rustling sound in the living room under the stairs.
