Chapter 33 Flawed
Chapter 33 Flawed
"Cut, that's good. Eva, Adam, go take a break. Next scene, the male and female leads." Mel shouted.
"Thank you, director." Eva gathered the bath towel that the crew had draped over her and walked
quickly towards the lounge. She needed to get her clothes off quickly and change into a clean set of
clothes, it felt too uncomfortable to be sticky on her body like this now.
Eva met Sheila as she was heading back to the lounge, who whispered as the two brushed past, "What
a lowlife."
Eva pretended she hadn't heard it and left at a faster pace.
There was no point in arguing with her at this time, she was the one who won that year, but Eva
believed that the goddess of victory would not always be on her side.
"Eva, what's the matter with you? You can't clean up your own mess after getting paparazzi to take
pictures for hype, and I have to deal with it for you!" When Renee saw Eva enter, she gave her
accusation.
"What?" Eva was dumbfounded, she hyped? What was she hype about?
"Wasn't it you who contacted the paparazzi to expose your affair with Adam? I advised you a long time
ago not to speculate, but you didn't listen, and now you've caused a fuss." Renee cursed.
Eva casually placed the bath towel aside on a chair and sneered, "So you are here to slander me,
instead of flattering Sheila."
"But sorry, I won't take the blame." Eva sneered, if yesterday she still didn't understand why she had
been exposed and now she finally understood.
Renee was behind the scene, one to test the bottom line of Adam, and second to take this opportunity
to see if she could Eva well-known. If she could, she would have two people under her who could make
money. Of course, this was a chance, and Sheila would not be angry with her if things worked out.
Unfortunately, the reality was quite the opposite.
Looking at Renee's look of anger, coupled with the obviously upset look Sheila had when she left just
now, Eva ventured a guess that perhaps Sheila had something to do with this matter as well.
"What? You failed to finish what Sheila explained to you and now you came to vent your anger on me?"
Eva asked. This is the property of Nô-velDrama.Org.
Renee tried to explain, "What nonsense are you talking about? What does this matter have to do with
Sheila?"
"So what makes you think it was me who exposed myself?"
"Of course it's because you don't listen to me!" Renee said.
"Heh, that's a reason? Since you got the news so early and came to me about it, I'd hazard a guess
that the paparazzi weren't paid off by you."
"Nonsense."
"Stop denying. You've given yourself away already." Eva could see Renee's weakness at a glance,
originally it was just a guess in her mind, but now everything was proved by Renee's action.
Eva left alone Renee and went straight to the inner room to change her wet clothes.
Renee came here originally to pry into Eva and Caleb's relationship, but as a result, just after meeting
Eva, she completely forgot the purpose of her coming here, for she was led by Eva with her words.
Once Eva knew who was behind this matter, she was less worried.
At least the enemy was in the open, so she didn't have to worry about getting hurt by someone in the
dark.
After Eva had changed her clothes, Renee had already left. Well, she had come to teach Eva a lesson,
but was caught in the trap set by Eva, she must be very angry at the moment and naturally did not want
to see Eva any more.
"Miss Sommers, have some ginger soup." Timothy, Adam's assistant, brought ginger soup to Eva.
"Thank you." Eva thanked politely, "And thank your boss."
"Miss Sommers, you are welcome, this is all we should do." Timothy was a boy who had just
graduated, and seeing a beauty like Eva, especially when her hair was wet and she was elegant in her
behavior, he instantly blushed shyly.
"Have some rest, Miss Sommers." After saying that, Timothy ran off, as if one step slower would result
in spontaneous combustion.
Eva was confused as she watched Timothy who suddenly ran away, wondering if she was too scary.
No, it shouldn't be.
She thought she was being very kind, her face was about to stiffen with a smile, so how could he still
be afraid?
Eva was puzzled but had to give up on this difficult question.
Compared to the scenes that Eva and Adam just filmed, Sheila's scene was incredibly easy. All she
had to do was to take a walk and flirt with the emperor, played by Sam, after the rain.
But Sheila's acting skills was not that good and she failed often to finish it, Mel couldn't help but
cursing, "Sheila, are you a wood! That's the person you love the most, who is about to step on the
battlefield. You're supposed to look sad!"
"Sorry, director, I've never experienced this kind of feeling before." Sheila said softly.
"Experience it, if it fails again, go home and don't be an eyesore here." Mel was so angry that he
jumped to his feet.
Renee was about to leave, but seeing the scene, she hurriedly stayed to appease the director, "Don't
be angry, director, take your time, Sheila's acting skills are fine, just give her time."
"You're also quite ridiculous. You gave unimportant roles to such a good actress like Eva, while you
went great efforts to put Sheila into all sorts of good productions. The difference in treatment is too
obvious, isn't it, Miss Morin?" Mel said in an unpleasant voice.
He had a fondness for Eva from the moment he saw her performance, and after spending most of the
month on the set, he became even more fond of her.
Renee didn't expect Mel to put it so bluntly and gave a forced smile, "That is not true, it is just an
accident."
"Come on, don't get in the way here." Mel said nonchalantly.
Renee did not dare to say anything more and muttered to Sheila before she walked away.
"Wait, she guessed it was me who was behind the scene?" Sheila questioned Renee.
"I think so, she mentioned your name, so be careful on the set during this time." Renee explained with
a sad face.
"You are so useless, if I had known that, I wouldn't have signed under you. You can't even handle such
a small matter, why should I avoid her? When has she ever beaten me? It doesn't matter if she would
find out or not!" Sheila didn't take it to heart in the slightest.
"It'd better to be careful." What Renee was afraid of was not Eva, but the possibility that behind Eva
stood the Livingstone family, in which case she would have to weigh the pros and cons.
