You’re burning hot
Beatrice stood by the entrance door and watched as the maids pulled up their luggage boxes in the boot of the car.
When they were done, they turned back to the direction of the house and greeted Beatrice as they walked past her.
Beatrice moved to the car and huffed.
They have to go together too.
Ugh.. that man is pretty annoying.
She opened the door to the backseat and sat down.
“Good afternoon, ma’am.”the driver greeted.
“Hm.”she hummed out a reply.
Gregory came out of the house later and came to sit beside her.
“Good afternoon, boss.”the driver greeted.
“Yea.”he responded.
Beatrice rolled her eyes to the side.
The car drove out of the mansion.
They got on the road and Beatrice went to her Instagram account to read about interesting posts.
She tuts – tuts when she saw that everywhere was covered with their wedding pictures.
She logged out immediately.
She didn’t made a post about her wedding on her wall neither did Gregory did.
The number of people following her has increased awesomely too.
She decided to watch a movie.Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.
After thirty minutes, she shuts her phone temporarily and placed her head on her laps, deciding to make a sleep out of it.
In her slumber, she dreamt of Gregory kissing her again.
Her eyes widened both in the dream and in reality.
“Hey.”he smiled at her after breaking the kiss.
“No!”she yelled out in reality.
Her eyes snapped open.
She rose her head from her thighs.
She turned to Gregory and saw him looking out of the window, unbothered.
She looked away from him and blinked her eyes rapidly.
She doesn’t even know where they were going.
He just asked her to pack and that she did.
She crossed her arms, pressing her head to the seat and closing her eyes again.
She kept herself awake though.
She thought of what she would do next with her salary, and when the deal is over, how she would move out of the country.
She heard the engines vibrating to a stop and she opened her eyes and saw a plane ahead.
The driver got down to get their stuffs from the back of the car.
“We are traveling out?”she voiced out in a single breath.
He didn’t respond and just got down.
Well?.
Has cat eaten his tongue?
She alighted out of the car.
While Gregory walked to the plane ahead, she went to help the driver carry the boxes even though he told her it was fine.
She and the driver took the stairs up and got inside the plane.
The driver dropped their boxes and left.
This was not the first time Beatrice would be in a private plane but she still couldn’t resist the urge to look around.
It was Gregory’s private plane, obviously.
She sat down few seats away from him.
The plane took off.
Beatrice stared down the earth and at the clouds.
Her phone rang and she brought it out of her trouser’s pocket.
Zack?.
She picked it up.
“Sorry, I should have called first. Thanks for..”
“No, there is nothing to thank me for. It was my bestie’s birthday, so, of course, I should attend.”he cut her off.
“Okay, but thank you anyways. It was nice having you around.”
“It was nice seeing you in that white gown also.”he chuckled.
Zack had decided to let’s go of his feelings for her and only think of her as a friend.
It seems they were not meant for each other.
“Well.. hahaha, I know that’s a flatter but I appreciate that still.”she chuckled.
“You on a plane?”
“Yep, how do you know?”Beatrice raised her brows.
“I can hear sounds.”
“Oh, yeah, yeah.”she smiled awkwardly.
“So, I will call you later.”Zack uttered.
“Sounds good. Bye – bye.”
“Bye.”he chimed and ended the call.
Gregory was observing her quietly.
An hostess walked up to her.
“Good afternoon, ma’am. What would you like to take?. Drinks?, food?”she inquired, politely.
“I’m good. You should ask that man at the back instead. He has been sulking all day. Maybe all he needs is food, after all.”she aimed her pinky finger at his direction carefully.
The lady turned to Gregory and immediately bowed before trotting to where he was.
“What would you like to eat or drink, sir?”
He shook his head gently.
The hostess swallowed the lump in her throat before bowing then scrammed off.
Beatrice peeked at Gregory and he instantly frowns at her.
“Oh, what a sulker.”she breathed out, turning her head back to her front.
Her phone buzzed on her laps.
It was a facetime call from Alyssa.
She answered it.
“Heyyy guurlll”Alyssa grinned.
“Hi.”Beatrice grinned back.
Alyssa paused.
“Is Gregory dead?”she asked in a ringing tone which made Beatrice to chortle.
“He is still alive, living like a ghost. Why?”
“Why are you guys sitting apart then?. Shouldn’t you be sitting together?”
“Well, who made that rule?”Beatrice perched her eyebrows up.
“Love!”Alyssa giggled.
“Now stand up, Beatrice and go sit beside your man.”she commanded.
“You know what’s going on, Lissa.”Beatrice said.
“Besides, I have never been an obedient kid so..”she smirks.
“So?”Alyssa smirked back at her.
“I am currently at the mansion. I was going to wave a good bye to you guys before you leave but I came late, thus, missing you guys.”she explained.
“Well, then go back to your house.”
“Nah, not yet.”Alyssa moved inside the kitchen.
“Why?”
“Melinda has to see this.”
“What do I have to see?”Melinda voice sounded in the background.
Beatrice’s eyes widened.
She sprang up from the seat and ran to where Gregory was and took the seat beside him.
Alyssa winked at her.
“Now, that’s more like it.”she stated before handing the phone over to Melinda.
“Bee – bee looks so cute beside Gregory.”she said to Alyssa.
“They are basically the perfect couple I’ve ever met.”Alyssa enthused and popped her face in.
“Take care of Beatrice, Gregory, you hear?”Melinda looked at him.
He gave a nod.
“Okay, so bye..”Beatrice grinned.
“Wait, wait, not yet..”Alyssa collected the phone from her.
“Don’t block their way. What if they want to have a special moment together on the plane?”Melinda said.
“Now, that’s heck no!”Beatrice tapped on the red button.
She stared at Gregory.
He was awfully quiet.
Before, he would have uttered a word or two.
“Are you okay?”she questioned.
He nodded and breathed out an hot air.
Huh?
She placed her palm on his forehead.
Oh, no.
“You’re burning hot.”
