Falling For The Alpha King

Chapter 10

Chapter 10

“Scott, looks like he left, or is this his home address?” Tom asked, trying to look through the window.

"Right. The address is correct. Could it be that he wasn't home? Or has he moved somewhere?”

replied Scott.

"It can be. This house is very quiet, I can't hear anything from inside," said Tom.

Katie who felt curious tried to approach the entrance and she pushed the doorknob downwards, the

door was opened and unlocked. They were shocked and looked at each other. Then Scott signaled

everyone on the count of three they were going inside.

The atmosphere in the house was quiet and dark. After the door was opened wide, a very strong

stench came out, making Scott and his friends cough while covering their noses. The appearance in

the house is chaotic, all things were not in their place, really messy, looks like a house that has been

entered by a thief.

Scott and his friends split up, trying to search as they kept shouting Bert's name. Katie decided to

check the kitchen and back porch, Tom decided to check the rooms on the first floor, while Scott

decided to check all the rooms on the second floor.

"Bert. It's us from the Blood Moon Pack," the three of them exclaimed.

However, there was no answer. The house was empty and uninhabited and had not been maintained

for a considerable period of time. A strange feeling alighted in Scott's heart. The handsome man

thought maybe Bert was being hunted because of his status as an eyewitness? Or Bert went on the run

to hide somewhere? But, where did he go? No clues at all.

Bert's bedroom is located on the second floor. Holding tightly to the light from the phone, Scott opened

the door to his room and was quite surprised. The reason was the appearance in the bedroom was

very neat, even though dust alights in many places. However, everything was in its place. It's strange

and surprising.

Scott, who was very curious, circled the room, observing every corner. He found nothing out of the

ordinary. Then he sat on the edge of the bed and opened every nightstand drawer, and they were all

empty. There's nothing in it.

However, Scott did not want to give up. He stood up and walked over to the wardrobe, slowly opening

the wardrobe door which was mostly made of glass. An even more shocking thing lay in front of him.

The cupboard was not empty. It seemed that all of Bert's clothes were still neatly tucked away in there.

What happened exactly? Where's Bert?

Scott went through every pedestal of the pile of clothes and he hadn't found any clues. Finally, he

opened the drawer in the middle of the cupboard, he pulled out the drawer and saw a pile of paper that

was not so much.

Then, he pulled out the drawer and put it on the bed. He opened each fold of the paper until he finally

found a small note tucked into the bottom of the drawer, a tattered, worn, and slightly dirty notepad.

However, Scott can still read every message.

The note read, Mr. Hanson, if you knew who was behind all this? At first, I never thought that he would

target you. You are just a tool for him to avenge the hurt of rejection. How ironic. He was too cunning

and dangerous. Too bad you believe in him so much. May your son be protected from harm in the

future. But, I can not contribute to protecting him, he realized that I had known the secret and tattoos on

his body. Tattoos depicting snakes drawn on his chest. I saw him by accident while he was soaking in

the hot springs two years ago when we all joined him for a vacation. Mr. Hanson, now I have to go. All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.

Sorry, I can't look after Scott.

After reading the message, Scott at least now knows that the mastermind behind his father's death was

someone who had a snake tattooed on his chest and he was in the same headquarters in the High

Court. But, the question is who? Who is he? Only the tattoo is the clue.

Then Scott put all the papers back in the drawer and put the drawer back in the cupboard. A few

moments later, from the direction of the stairs came Tom who walked up to him.

“Scott, what did you find?” he asked.

"Just a note enough to let me know that the mastermind behind my father's death wasn't Fred's father,

but someone with a snake tattooed on his chest and he was inside High Court headquarters. Bert knew

who it was, but now he's gone," Scott replied.

"What? He's inside the High Court headquarters? But, why did he kill your father and make Fred's

father the suspect?” Tom asked confused.

"Because of the rejection. In the letter, it was written that he used my father to repay his hurt because

of rejection. Everything is still vague. I think we should see Mrs. Jenkins."

“Hopefully she can give accurate clues. Have you noted her home address?”

"Already. Let's go downstairs," Scott said to Tom.

Then, the two of them left the bedroom and walked down the stairs. As their stepped on the last step,

they heard a scream coming from the back porch. Katie shouted for the two of them.

"Scott, Tom. Come here," she cried frantically.

Scott and Tom immediately ran to the back porch and when they got there, Katie was seen crouching

near the splash of blood that was quite a lot.

“Scott, look. This blood splatter is still new. Could someone be targeting Bert? Could it be that the

mastermind behind your father's murder attempted to kill him too?” Katie asked.

"It's most likely like that. I found Bert's notes which contained a few clues about the brains behind all

this. He's inside the High Court headquarters and has a snake tattooed on his chest?” replied Scott.

Katie was taken aback and she immediately stood up, looked at her two friends with a serious look,

and said, “Really?”

"Yes, Scott is right. The headquarters of the High Court is no longer a safe place for us. There is

someone out there who wants to split the relationship between the Blood Moon Pack and the Black

Skull Pack," said Tom.

"Do you know who it is?" Katie asked.

"I do not know. The clues given by Bert were too few,” Scott replied.

"Then what's our next plan?" asked Tom.

"I think we should see Mrs. Jenkins. She's always around the house, maybe she saw someone came

and poisoned my dad," Scott replied.

"Wait, you were talking about tattoos?" Katie asked Scott.

"Yes, the snake tattoo on the killer's chest," replied Scott.

"I think I've seen that tattoo," Katie said.
