Billionaire’s Missing Darling

Chapter 37

Chapter 37

“What plain dumb luck.” Lola shook her head and sighed.

She was a quick–witted person. She sighed and quickly thought of something else. She turned around and spoke to Emma.

“Emma, do you think she would deliberately divulge her relationship with Ryan to your family?”

Emma quietly looked up at her in confusion.

Seeing this, Lola was speechless. Her tone was helpless and doting, “You’re so pure. Be careful not to be harmed by Olivia.”

Emma had always been a well–educated and kind person in front of everyone. She rarely gossiped about others and never talked about people who were jealous of her. Most of the time, she did not speak much and looked refined and demure.

However, she was the backbone of everyone. She was the one who made many decisions.

She rarely spoke, but her words were definitely methodical and moving. Her personality was also gentle, especially understanding, and she was considerate of others.

Therefore, everyone admired her and followed her orders. However, they would not be afraid of her because she was smart and strong. Instead, they thought that she was pure and kind.

Lola was very worried about Emma. “You’d better get married soon. Otherwise, Olivia will definitely bully you.”

Mary nodded. She also felt that Emma was too kind.

Elaine didn’t agree with them. She put down her phone and said, “You’re underestimating Emma. Emma won’t take the initiative to harm people, but she’s not an idiot who won’t fight back. With Emma’s intelligence, there’s no need for you to worry. After all, Olivia has just returned to the Taylor family. Her schemes, methods, and connections are all there. She won’t be able to cause much trouble.”

Hearing this, Lola nodded. “I’m just worried that Emma will be softhearted.” She was not worried that Emma would be bullied, but she was afraid that Emma would be softhearted and endure it. After all, people like Olivia who grew up in the outside world did not have any manners. Olivia might disregard her dignity and embarrass Emma in front of others.

“Let’s not talk about this first.” Lola looked at Emma. “I’m guessing that Olivia will definitely let the Taylor family know her relationship with Ryan. Her relationship with Ryan was originally shady. When the Taylor family’s elders find out, they will definitely not be able to accept their daughter being someone else’s mistress. They will pressure Ryan to either break up or date Olivia and get married with her openly.”

Mary nodded. Olivia looked like a scheming person. Previously, she had only opened a window in the car and did not even get out.

With such pretentiousness, she must care a lot about power.

Lola continued, “Since she was able to enter a top university and get close to Ryan, it means that she’s not a silly girl. She definitely knows how to seek benefits for herself. Although she’s the Taylor family’s biological daughter, she just returned to the Taylor family and missed 18 years with the Taylor family’s people. Their relationship definitely isn’t that deep. Instead of working hard to attach herself to the Taylor family, it’s better to use the Taylor family’s influence to marry a rich man.”

The daughters of wealthy families all had such a fate. They would have a marriage of equal social status and contribute to the family. To these young ladies, their future lives would be a competition of

looks, figures, husbands, and children.

Lola felt that Olivia was very scheming and smart. Olivia knew how to plot for herself. However, this was good too. It saved her from fighting with Emma.

Emma felt that Lola’s words were a little exaggerated. They had never seen Olivia before, so they thought so. However, Emma had interacted with Olivia before. Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

She felt that Olivia did not seem like someone who would attach herself to power.

However, that might not be the case. One could never judge a book by its cover. After all, Ryan’s conditions were so good. If Olivia missed him, she would never be able to meet such a man again.

“How about we make a bet?” Lola looked at Mary.

Mary raised her eyebrows. “On what?”

“Let’s bet Olivia. I’m guessing that she’ll return to the Taylor family today and can’t wait to reveal her relationship with Ryan.” Lola was confident. She knew the mentality of these female students from famous universities too well. When they saw a rich man, they wanted to get close to him. They couldn’t wait at all.

Olivia would definitely be eager to announce her relationship with Ryan. Moreover, she was sitting in Ryan’s car today. This was the best evidence. Mary sneered. “You’re thinking too much. Who said that Ryan would definitely like her?”

With that, she looked straight ahead and drove steadily.

The other three looked at each other in disbelief.

In the end, Lola could not help but ask, “Mary, don’t tell me you like Ryan…”

She originally wanted to test Mary, but who knew that Mary would be so generous and admit it directly? “We’re both single, and we have equal status. Isn’t it normal for me to like him?”

“But…” Lola really did not expect this. “He has a mistress.”

“Humph!” Mary sneered when she heard that. Her gaze was mocking. “Which man in our family doesn’t cheat? As long as he won’t let me find out after he cheats on me.”

“You’re right.” Lola leaned back. “My father has a big belly, but so many young girls are eager to get close to him.”

Elaine glanced at Mary and hesitated. “But, Olivia is different.” She was not a simple mistress. She was the eldest daughter of the Taylor family.

“Olivia…” Mary looked disdainful. “Is she worthy of competing with me?”

It wasn’t that Mary looked down on Olivia, but the difference between the two of them was really huge. Although Mary had a bad temper, she was only grumpy in front of her acquaintances. In front of others, she was very dignified.

According to the standards of a top socialite, she had been carefully trained for more than 20 years, and her family had spent a lot of money on her. How could that country bumpkin Olivia compare to her?

The others also reacted. That was indeed the case.

Olivia did not even have a decent brand on her. She would probably show her fear when she entered a slightly bigger luxury store. How could she attend the cocktail party with Ryan? How could she be so good at dancing?

One had to know that not only did socialites and rich madams know how to enjoy their lives and have fun, but they were also virtuous helpers. These people had seen big scenes before. They had been trained since they were young and did not show fear no matter what occasion it was. For someone like Olivia who was timid, her legs would probably tremble when she stood in the auditorium with dozens of people and made a speech.

“Since Mary has feelings for Ryan, let’s not go out to play today. Let’s go to the Taylor family,” Lola said. “We have to stop Olivia from revealing her relationship with Ryan. We can’t let their relationship be legitimate.” Mary did not mind. “There’s no need.” She did not see Olivia as an opponent at all, nor did she think that Ryan would be so shallow as to fall for such a shallow woman.

“I agree with Lola,” Elaine said.

Unexpectedly, Elaine could speak. Emma turned to look at her in surprise.

Elaine smiled. “Since the matter can be resolved peacefully and we can seize the initiative, why don’t we seize it? We can’t underestimate the enemy. We can’t let down our guard until we gain the upper hand.” “Ella is awesome!” Lola clapped and stretched her arms to direct Mary. “Let’s go to the Taylor family.”

They had to drive faster to reach the Taylor family before Olivia.
